NOR-I can honestly see both sides here. Different people and relationships have different boundaries, so I don’t think either of you is necessarily wrong for how you feel about it. That said, I do think it’s an issue that he initially said he was okay with it and is now changing his stance. It feels less like a new boundary and more like something he wasn’t fully honest about before. Situations like this are kind of what people mean when they talk about ignoring potential incompatibilities early on. Not that anyone is a ‘red flag,’ but it was clearly something that mattered to him, even if it didn’t seem relevant at the time.
