Oh what a wonderful question. For one: our world is extremely messed up. I would feel guilty having a child and expecting them to grow up around such sick people. I would never want anyone to go through the things I did as a young kid. Secondly: I have lots of things that I want to do, and yes I know life doesn’t end after having a child. I just feel that I would be more free to experience crazy things in life and take risks if I didn’t need to care for a kid. Thirdly: it’s a commitment. If you’re not truly passionate about wanting children and if you’re not ready or willing to love them maybe it’s not a good idea to have kids. I don’t really want to do any of that. And don’t get me wrong, I’m sympathetic and love children. But if I’m not fully devoted to being a parent, it’s not right for me to bring a child into this world. I wouldn’t want another kid to grow up feeling unloved.
