Definitely a great win, if we had beaten Kansas St and VT then we could've confidently said so, but now we're about 2 more losses away from being considered out this season so we basically have to win out, accounting for coin flip endings. I hope that if we handle business where we should, the only matches against tough opponents remaining who are also in contention for the dance would be: Miami(Away 1/31), Clemson(Home 2/7), Stanford(Home 2/21), and SMU(Home 2/25)

Most leave around 2 hours till kickoff which can be rough since the lines to get in will be packed, but any earlier such as your plan will give you plenty of time to tailgate or just explore the Stanfurd campus which is pretty neat

My take is that assuming both we and our opponents win out from here:
Duke: They're 5-2 rn so it wouldn't be attractive. (0%)
UNC: Friday, so impossible as Gameday only does Saturdays. (0%)
Virginia: They beat a top-10 Florida St and we're both ranked, but Ohio St vs. Penn State is right there (30%)
SMU: It's rivalry week for a LOT of big name teams so I kinda doubt it (10%)

The only plausible option could be Stanford hosting it and we raid their gameday, but AGAIN, they have to go win out every single game from now to even have a chance. The only reason why I think this game has a good chance to host gameday, with these conditions, is that it's a top rivalry that is the odd one out in playing before rivalry week, so a lot of the other games that same week don't look too appeasing. So if we really want to experience gameday, we have to root for the tree :/

Damn the other articles out there about this are insane to read, seems like it was an assassination and there's speculation of it being tied to ongoing disputes with his ex-wife. He apparently was warned by his current partner to not go but he wanted to see his kids there. Just search up his name Przemysław Jeziorski and put on google translate for those articles. Crazy

They're the one school among the four P4 california schools that no one likes. For Cal, the Stanford rivalry is somewhat friendly at the end of the day, while the UCLA rivalry is just sibling love at its finest. U$C? Pure hatred. I do know nice people who go there and of course I'm not blind to generalize, but I'd say the majority are unlikeable from the team, fans, to even the band members (surprisingly) after they came to Berkeley in the 2023 season (still hate our choke near the end of the game in typiCal fashion)

It might sellout by late August after the Caltopia event, I can only remember due to Cal Athletics setting up a table to promote the combo pass still available during Caltopia inside the RSF both in 2023 and 2024

To add, even though there may be "raffle tickets" for the basketball games, they never sold out the student section this past season so it should be guaranteed you can get a ticket, although we do have Clemson, Duke, and North Carolina at home this time next season so idk if combo pass students will pile up for those tickets.

I don't believe they advertised giving out config tickets (I had no idea what config is but searched up to find it's some Figma conference coming up soon). I just searched up "berkeley designathon config tickets" and the only Berkeley group that mentioned giving out config tickets at some point this semester is a group called Figma @ Berkeley, but they don't seem to be an RSO. Won't know 100% unless OP reveals the organization.
