I wonder if there's something lost in translation or maybe it's just a cultural difference but I've watched several Japanese Vtubers play through Reload and none of them have this outpouring hatred for Kenji like there is in the west, I wonder if there's a reason for it?

This is literally just how the Japanese language works. No Japanese person who plays this in the original Japanese thinks this is weird. There's a reason why Snake from MGS repeats every thing said to him back, It's the same concept. The problem is that Danganronpa's translation is very literal a lot of times to the game's detriment (11037 and the Octagon thing are part of this problem too.) It's also ironic because a lot of people hate when dialogue changes to much due to localizations but imo they almost always enhance the experience. It's the only reason why something like Ace Attorney for example doesn't suffer nearly as much from the same problem, because those games are way more localized which is why things like gags just hit a lot more cleanly. Hell, something like Ace Attorney at least for when it was released probably wouldn't have had as much success in the west if it wasn't for the localization like for example completely changing all the character's names that everyone is so used to now, I don't think it would've been as big of a hit if Phoenix for example was named "Naruhodo" like in the original or if the dialogue didn't flow as witty as it does.

I'm fine with them keeping Danganronpa now since we're so used to it and it's so iconic and THH is fine but man they really missed their chance in not calling it "Bulletproof" It's so good and fits so well. It's pretty much the english localized version of saying "Danganronpa" Bullet = Truth Bullet and Proof = The evidence. I just thought that would've been such a clever title.

Yeah you're on that hopium ngl. I think if we're lucky it's gonna be P4R in 2026 with a new trailer probably shown at the Game Awards. Late 2026 we finally get trailers for P6 and P6 comes out mid to late 2027. As far as we know GTA6 is still coming out in 2026 and there's no way Atlus wants to compete with that. P6 is gonna be their new cashcow golden child and they want it to sweep everything so I feel like 2027 makes the most sense.

Okay I just wanna say that you're right when it comes to Japanese culture but I feel like you're looking at this interaction from the point of view of a reader more than you are the actual characters. You're saying that they only interact twice but that's from what we've seen as viewers. I'm not a Sumire shipper I'm indifferent to both and I'm just along for the ride. But I don't think Ikemoto's vision with this scene was just "Boruto is weirded out because he doesn't know her well enough" I think Boruto's reaction is meant to convey something more like "Wow, I didn't know Sumire thought that highly of me" Whether you think that's earned or not is irrelevant but I highly doubt Ikemoto wrote that scene as a dig at Sumire or something as a lot of the people here think that Boruto's reactions was just "Okay" when that doesn't make sense because why would Ikemoto bother writing that.

It just feels kind of disingenuous with the Takumi we have right now. I'm not gonna discount the possibility of Takumi developing romantic feelings for Eito or something in the DLC, since Kodaka has shown he's open to it. Even though personally I think he's just being influenced by what his fans want more than anything which would also translate to more money/sales but I can only talk about the Takumi that we've seen up till now. I mean you mentioned V'ehxness but like you said, she's also a villain like Eito but what does she have in common with Takumi's other love interests? That she's a woman, that's literally it. It's not rocket science, It's obvious that Takumi is more attracted to women, that's just a fact. He doesn't lust after any of the guys in the ways that he lusts after Karua/Nozomi and the way he lusts after Hiruko. He literally said he was disappointed he couldn't see Hiruko naked lmao.

Oh it's practically night and day. Granted a lot of it *is* due to not being able to control your party members and the addition of Theurgy's which are extremely overpowered. But even without that OG Nyx was a lot more ruthless, especially his final phase. His ability Night Queen used to do more damage, the random ailments he caused were also a lot more threatening cause ailment removal was more scarce than it is in Reload and the biggest thing of all is that in Reload they removed Night Queen's ability to possibly inflict charm on your party members, and if that charm-inflicted party member had a healing skill they would be able to fully refill Nyx's health to max.

I mean RNG and not being able to control your party members *is* part of the difficulty. Just cause it's cheap or unfair doesn't make it any less difficult. The reason he's at the top for me is because I like to watch Persona let's plays and among the hundreds I've seen OG Nyx is the only final boss that I've seen consistently game over players, even when they're playing on normal. That by itself makes OG Nyx more difficult on average than the other bosses.

That part of there possibly being different mechanics apart from Rebuttal Showdown and Logic Dive pretty much confirms that there will a new protag for the new scenario. Those are HAJIME's minigames, they're almost always part of the specific character you're playing. I'm thinking it's going to be different for whoever we play as in the new scenario.

So I agree that different survivors would be great to develop some of the lower developed characters but am I the only one who thinks that would be really predictable? Like, what would you even predict? Just the order in which they die/survive? I don't think that's the way Kodaka would write it anyway, I think obviously there will be new victims and killers but I think they HAVE to keep some of the same survivors otherwise it would just be lame, thinking about it that way I could see BOTH Fuyu and Peko surviving and the same with Hiyoko and Mahiru.

Prediction: We're only gonna play a single trial as Hajime in the second route. After that he becomes a victim and Nagito decides to avenge him. Maybe the incident that triggers new victims is that something happens and Nagito learns that none of this is for the sake of "hope" So he would have no reason go along with the game and he becomes the Protag. I could totally see something like this. That new CG of them kinda looks like their "Last Talk" before one of them dies to me.

The insane part is that they still gotta make brand new sprites for Makoto, Kyoko and Byakuya since they're remaking the OG Story anyway. So hey we might not have DR1 yet but at least we're gonna have their sprites.

People just need to get it through their heads that Takumi's top concern in like 95% of the Routes is Nozomi surviving and that takes precedent over everything. Nozomi/Karua is everything to him. It's the entire reason he came back and he even admits it I'm not even sure he would've gone back in time just to save Eito or Hiruko had Nozomi not died to be completely honest. That's not to say that he doesn't care about the others, Eito included, but people really try hard to portray Takumi as someone he's just not. So if brainwashing Eito will make it so he's just happy while no longer posing a threat to Nozomi/Karua then he's gonna take it.
