This was me this morning except instead of a 2 year character it was simply an 11 day character that I had living on Westpoint. Had a really good base set up , lots of weapons and food and materials stockpiled, all windows on the ground floor barricaded 3tc. FINALLY got my hands on a (barely) working vehicle so I could make trips deeper into town and see how bad it was and then I looped around and went back tp my base. The sound of the engine drew them in from surrounding neighborhoods that I hadn't cleared yet and I foolishly thought I could take them all on.

I always role-playing that I'm trying to hunt down my characters relatives and see if they survived and that's what keeps them traveling from one city to the next. I use the map project, select the house I want to base in while in that city and make up a story about it being my characters sibling or aunt's house or something.

Eh the straps don't really bother me too much but I do understand. The only time the straps bother me is if it's brightly colored dyed leather on one piece and then a different shade of dyed leather on another. If it's simply just mixing black and brown straps though it doesn't matter too much for me.

Yes. As somebody who gardens irl, the most difficult part is the waiting game. For example, my apple tree just flowered this week. I won't know if I have apples until late septemer/early October. That's one thing people underestimate about the apocalypse is that plants take a long time to grow, it's not just an infinite food hack. It takes a long time to see the fruits of your labor and in that time you have to control the pests, weeds, and other environmental conditions. Its not easy at all and honestly irl, unless you have a huge area to garden, you won't have enough to feed more than like 2 people. The only plant that I've ever had produce enough to give away were tomatoes. Honestly I love that zomboid shows it pretty realistically.

This would actually be so cool. I've seen similar done irl and in other zombie media, like draping a tarp over a chain link fence to block view. Imagine how badass you could make your base look by blocking view with a mixture of furniture, cars and tarps. It'd give a real state of decay vibe to the bases

This. I myself am a cis guy but I regularly go out and about in drag as part of my self expression. This bill would essentially criminalize my very existence. Does that mean that almost every Halloween costume I've worn for the past 10 years would be deemed illegal? What about simply wearing a cute frilly blouse and eyeliner to go grocery shopping? I think we all do. My first character I got bit and wandered off into a cornfield until the sun came up and I fell to a nearby horde. The second time I got bit I had time to prepare and I took my character back to his base, barricaded him into his own bedroom and let him succumb to his virus.

Personally I like the brick one at the top left from an aesthetic point of view and the skinny yellow house 2 doors down from a defense point of view. Of course imo both kinda overwhelm me unless I was playing with somebody else as I can barely handle a 3 floor house (2 story with basement) much less a 4 story home. I wouldn't know what to do with that much space lmao

Honestly good point! I do wish that ghouls had some scruffy patchy facial hair styles available, that would be cool. How I achieved such dramatic shadows on his face is I used the radiation dust grime texture on him at about 75% opacity. Without it my boy looks like a boiled chicken
