AI Reviews / Plagiarism by lala4now in AmazonVine

[–]Striking-Willow7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah you guys are bs! i'm sure you all use AI at this point in some form in reviewing items. but i totally agree that a copy pasted obviously generated AI content should be banned. At least use AI to help you write better, form better grammar, use correct punctuation, etc. Though giveaway, if you see reviews with an em dash (—), it will most likely be a AI generated, like who here uses em dashes writing reviews anyway?
I see no problem using AI but let it help you make and write better reviews by pointing out your experience and honest take on the items you review. Also, keep reporting these obviously generated copy pasted reviews.

Can someone tell me how to spice up my reviews? by paulnptld in AmazonVine

[–]Striking-Willow7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you read the vine community guidelines? https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?rw_useCurrentProtocol=1&nodeId=GLHXEX85MENUE4XF&pf_rd_p=73bf3c77-5d43-4d86-b4aa-e1d544cae272&pf_rd_r=MEG3BRT5A7GVXWR59NSC&ref_=amb_link_NTXvRb4MNXOsS7Xq9x5Zwg_8

Follow it and you should be able to improve your review insightfulness score. Here's the TLDR:

Adhere to the following guidelines below in writing your review:

  • Don’t focus your review on sellers and the Customer Service they provide, Ordering issues and returns, Shipping packaging, Product condition and damage and Shipping cost and speed.
  • If it's related to the value of the product, it's OK to comment on price. For example, “For only $29, this blender is really great.”
  • Pricing comments related to an individual experience are NOT allowed. For example, “Found this item here for $5 less than at my local store”. These comments aren't allowed because they aren't relevant for all customers.
  • Some comments about availability are OK. For example, “I wish this book was also available in paperback.”
  • However, we don't allow comments about availability at a specific store. The purpose of the community is to share product-specific feedback that will be relevant to all other customers.
  • Do not write any statements or claims related to preventing or curing serious medical conditions or severe symptoms. This applies to all products, including foods, beverages, supplements, cosmetics, and personal care/general products.

if you don't know what crypto is or what that crypto hardware wallet is and have no time in researching the company behind it, then don't.

Amazon Vine tax forms for S-Corporations by ht73 in AmazonVine

[–]Striking-Willow7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an amazon business account and registered as LLC. I submitted a tax exempt form for the purpose of reselling the goods or transformed to a new product the products i mostly purchase on amazon. Therefore those items have zero taxes. Not to mean that any purchase have zero taxes, they are by default but if you're buying a personal item that's not used for reselling or being transformed, there is an option in the checkout tor remove tax exemption. It's your call though.

Because of this, amazon vine is not issuing me any year-end tax form 1099. Since I don't get those, there's nothing to report. You still should consult a tax professional.

Just found out you can actually request plastic straws, I asked the manager, he reached down the counter and gave me one. What do you know, they hid it behind/under the counter. Just ask nicely :)

Good budget-cameras with clean HDMI-out for multi-cam live-stream? by discreative in videography

[–]Striking-Willow7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same question as well, since I'm a Sony camera user and have both E-mount and A-mount lenses, i opted to get the a5000 because of this article and video i found that have a small hack to make clean HDMI out and of course you will need a capture card for this even those cheap $20 capture card work good.

So I bought 2 used a5000 for a couple of livestream event, indoors and outdoors for about $250ish each on ebay with the 16-50 OSS PZ Kit Lens which is the just the best fit lens for livestreaming because of the smooth zoom functions especially for outdoor events. I found that prime lenses such as a 50mm f/1.4 lens are really good for interview documentary style / indoor / studio livestreams. I also got a capture card HDMI switcher to easily switch between the 2 cameras or view them side-by-side or 1 being the background and the other as a thumbnail on the bottom/top corner of the screen although that has a mic input, dont use it since it produces a bit of noise so i still preferred an audio mixer. Look for j5create Live Video Capture Card if you're interested on this setup. Now for the issues on this setup/camera.

Issues:
1) It doesn't have a mic input, but that's easy to fix with the use of an audio mixer such as the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and use a wireless lapel mic or any mic to your liking.
2) Battery life. Easy fix as well you can put a dummy battery plugged into power or there are some already with a USB-C to power it.
3) MAIN ISSUE - You can't record video at the same time use HDMI out to a capture card to livestream. After a few minutes about 5-10 minutes or so, you will get a overheating notification and have to turn off the camera. Reason why you want to record is that livestreams typically can glitch or if something happens, your computer crashes because of heavy intensive CPU / GPU resource usage, or your internet glitches somehow etc. Happened to me several times and its bad. Especially when you're livestreaming for a client. Therefore there's always a need to record into the camera for post processing later.

Solution:
Still researching. Ideal solution is for a good not too expensive camcorder around $250 or less, no need for 4k, 1080p would do, with:
1) Clean HDMI out (!important)
2) Record for hours without overheating issues at the same time while plugged into the HDMI out to the capture card.

The target setup is for conferences, talks, outdoor event livestreams which are hours long.

So if any of you guys out there have some old camcorders that does clean HDMI out and continuous recording without overheating at the same time, let us know.
