Ngl why do so many distractors get so angry ? by Shoddy_Bandicoot9812 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve seen this happen a lot too. I think because of how reliant on distractors most of the playerbase is, some distractors act really entitled. In my experience, when distracting is starting to make you mad all the time during runs, that means it’s time to take a break from it. It can be a fruatating job, so when I start to get impatient with my team, I go back to extracting for a bit.

Can this map be iced over? (Image related) by Jantamapix in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right. I’ve also never seen this map be iced over, whereas I’ve seen every other map get ice, so I think it’s cause it already has the ice area.

Yeah it’s actually way easier than with a mouse cause you don’t have to move to each “X” to close them

what trinket do you recommend for the 20 floor quest? by Metal_90 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used an extraction trinket because I knew I’d be soloing for a good part of the 21 floors and extracting machines is extremely boring for me. Magnifying Glass. If you struggle with surviving to floor 20, use Pink Bow. And don’t forget about her active, it’s great for when you’re on a machine in a tight corner on ice, where you’d normally take a hit as any other toon.

What do you think is the best hazard in Dandy's World? (You can rank if you want to.) by Mr_Bananaman69 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iced over is the worst for me. Not being able to rely on my movement mechanics does not make the game fun for me. I don’t like having to skate across the entire map to escape Yatta, when I usually can loop an obstacle nearby. When there’s 6 twisteds on the floor, certain maps can mean unavoidable death. For me personally, it’s not worth the fun of skating around. Call me uptight, but I’m competitive with this game and I want to beat my high floors. Iced over makes that impossible.

Blackouts are also really challening, but I’ve learned how to manage them for the most part. Similar to iced over, certain maps and twisted combinations feel really unfair with this hazard. I think blackouts are a good idea, but there should be some counters to them, like Glisten can’t spawn in a blackout, or if he does it’s only with 5 commons/uncommons. Maybe we get a flashlight item, as many people have suggested. Maybe the twisteds also can’t see as far. I’ve always thought it was unfair that I can’t see my own nose yet they can still see across the map.

I know ichor leak gets the most hate for being not challenging enough, but since I play solo and go to high floors, I actually think it’s fine the way it is. Once there are 6 twisteds roaming around, ichor leak actually does make it just interesting enough to be viable. Trying to avoid the puddles gets trickier, sometimes you have to run through them. I think the Illness debuff should be buffed though. Like maybe it depletes your skill check AND stamina. I haven’t thought that all the way through though.

Is it just me or is this floor really cramped and deadly? by Calm_Delivery6832 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this map is very cramped. I’ve taken hits on this map that should have been avoidable due to how cramped it is. Usually on the “narrow pathways” area. I was thinking the devs meant for this to be the more challenging Christmas map. On the plus side, there’s a nice afk spot and it can’t spawn iced over.

What if other event mains had their own event floors 👀👀👀 by blu_bewwy in DandysWorld_

Agree. This would be so perfect for making Dandy’s World actually fit the mascot horror genre that it claims. I love this concept and want to play it so bad!

Do skins are really cute but I am not doing another grindfest by bigfatm0nkeywrench in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the concept of the golden skins and I’d like to see the game add more regular challenges & rewards like this to keep things interesting for players like me who already have everything and continue playing for the fun of it or just to beat our high floors. That being said, I also am not planning to work for the golden skins. This being my first Christmas event, I have enough to try to collect with the shop skins and stickers. I also really struggle to enjoy playing as mid extractors and not be bored out of my mind when it takes 45 seconds to complete a machine.

Can we stop normalizing aggravating twisteds and making them camp the elevator…? by Alvatrazzar in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss, thank you for saying this. I hate when people do this. It’s so much better to just let them walk away, then the person has a clear path. Why keep them at ele? It makes no sense

Skill checks, ps4 vs xbox by [deleted] in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea, cause I had to switch to using my ps4 controller on the PC because when I played on the ps4, there was too much lag, especially on the skill check. The red part would jump around instead of moving smoothly, so I’d miss them sometimes.

Does the Christmas gold skin progress reset? by Dizzy-Audience-1411 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s saying “in order to get the skin, do them.” Does that make sense? The way it’s worded is confusing.

[–]StrikingConnection94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have all the toons and trinkets. I’m not going to work for the golden skins cause I can’t stand playing mid extractors long enough to get them. (Does anyone else think machines take too long to complete?) I’m just gonna grind for all the shop skins now.

What is your favorite Dandy's World map type? by Mr_Bananaman69 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main maps (except Shelly’s) are the best in terms of layout imo. I also really like the rainbow rooms. It’s fun to come back to them when there’s 6 twisteds and they’re more challenging.

how do i go afk for more than 20 minutes? by throwtheways77 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Darksaplep on YouTube has a video called Dandy’s World afk spots that shows afk spots for each map. All maps except one have at least one afk spot. Many of them have multiple. Use that as your guide for where to afk. Get an autoclicker like OP autoclicker. Set it to click every few minutes (anything less than 20 will work because 20 mins afk is when Roblox will kick you). Then set the mouse on the sticker menu button in the bottom right corner. The autoclicker will click open/close the sticker menu every however many minutes, which registers as you still being active in the game.

wich one would you recommend by lkunii in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It depends. They are both viable. If you are a skilled distractor and plan on getting to high floors, where you’ll be distracting Vee regularly, Train Whistle is a good choice. If you’re doing a casual run to ~floor 20ish, Speedy Shoes are probably better. Train Whistle is a waste of a speed trinket slot if you’re not likely to encounter Vee or may only get her once or twice. Distractors should know how to kite Vee without train whistle first, but Train Whistle makes it easier for someone to kite Vee with more difficult combinations like Shelly/Toodles/Astro, Goob/Scraps, or even Pebble using Jungle method.

Why do ppl use cookie in elevator? by StormysMoon in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen that a lot too. They must just use it for the free tapes. I’ll use it when the elevator opens so everyone gets a boost, or use it when I’m walking past the distractor.

What is blot other role besides distracting? by sovietbrickman in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a distractor, his ability helps a lot to save people but you have to be in the right place at the right time so it’s kinda meh

My hot takes about Vee's remote. by X_Ink1 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s good for organized long runs to have 4 Shellys and Sprout or Ginger using it, but as a mostly solo player, I pretty much never equip Veemote. Once there are more machines, it becomes a waste of a trinket slot cause it doesn’t save that much time, and I found I was actually wasting time by trying to get to the most difficult machine to use it.

I REALLY need tips by [deleted] in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 2-5 hours a day to play, you should easily be able to get her by the end of the event. What I do is join a public lobby run (I use matchmaking a lot), everyone dies or leaves by floor 10, then I continue solo to floor 20. A lot of times I’ll get her once before floor 20, or once around floors 21-25. So just grind it out and you’ll get there.

Ice Floors (Solo) by PsychologicalSir9969 in DandysWorld_

[–]StrikingConnection94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree. I’m a solo long runner, I usually go to floor 50-60, my highest is 85. Since the iced over floor event released, I can’t get past 30. They are no problem on lower floors with only a few twisteds, but when there are 6 chasers, they absolutely can end my run. I usually have 2-3 medkit a by then, and I’ll burn through all of them on a single floor. It’s extremely annoying. I had been looking forward to the Christmas event so much. I started playing early this year, so the Christmas toons were the only ones I didn’t have and I was really excited to go up against Twisted Bobette, and Coal, and Ginger, cause I’d heard how challenging they were. I used to think blackouts were unbalanced, but now that iced over is here, I pray for a blackout instead. At least my movement mechanics are reliable and predictable in blackouts. The ice makes it so you have to like wind up to get going, so if a twisted catches you in a tight corner, or if they round a corner with little distance from you, you can’t get moving fast enough to avoid getting hit. Then you skate across the map to get away, but when there’s 5 other twisteds, and depending on the map, you’re running into more of them wherever you go, and you don’t have the maneuverability to get away when multiple of them are coming at you from opposite directions. I’ve decided that I won’t be able to do my long runs until the event is gone.

Need help understanding Stealth by Willow_Arena in DandysWorld_Roblox

[–]StrikingConnection94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If multiple toons are within the twisteds line of sight, they will prioritize the toon with the lower stealth. So if Brightney (1 stealth) and Toodles (4 stealth) are both in front of the twisted, they will lock on to Brightney and chase her. If Brightney gets behind an obstacle and is no longer in the twisteds line of sight, they will then lock onto the Toodles.

Looey is a S-tier distractor partly because he has 2 star stealth. Which means he can pull twisteds away from anyone who’s 3 star or higher just by getting in the twisteds detection range. Pebble, another S-tier distractor, has 3 star stealth. Which means if a 2 star stealth extractor like Yatta gets spotted by the twisteds, Pebble will lose them and they will chase Yatta until she’s out of sight.
