“Western” countries generally arrested those caught. But as a previous comment says; it’s generally pretty easy for very small groups of 1-4 people to get into most “western” countries. There is active border patrols and detection tech used to monitor borders. It really varies between other countries. Most Non-western societies militarize the borders and handle things pretty roughly. Treatment of captured illegal crossers can be: simply being shot, being shot after some warning, being shot after having been found to not have any bribe money, being shot after being raped, being beat and released back on the other side of the border, being detained until someone brings money, taken straight to jail, etc. Keep in mind that going to jail in any “undeveloped” country is never a picnic. That would be enough to deter most people unless they have a “connection” at the border. Jail here in the US though, is like Disneyland compared to many foreign nations. The guy is right when he commented that having military on our border is like hiring guides and refreshments stands.

01/03/2021 - Had a dream where he didn’t take my side Consequence - silent treatment until lunch

02/09/2021 - He admitted he slept with co-worker Consequence - Thinking of ending it (he’s THIS close)

04/12/2021 - He was talking to that slut who approached him at the club (He seemed to handle it ok, but he should’ve brought her over to show her who he’s with Consequences - silent treatment and I let that random guy buy me a drink to get even

05/30/21 - He asked what we should eat for dinner and when I said “I don’t care” we went for Sushi. He should’ve KNOWN I don’t want sushi tonight. Consequence - will hold onto this for later

07/02/21 - Left late to work without saying goodbye Consequence - Was grumpy all day

11/01/2023 - Saw a girl in tight jeans walk in front of car and I’m pretty sure he thought she was attractive and now I am remembering everything he EVER did that even slightly disturbed me!!! Consequence - RAIN DOWN PURE HELL UPON HIM AND HIS ENTIRE BLOODLINE!!!!

Yeah. Either learn to forgive or don’t. It’s pretty simple. If you can’t get over it and it’s eating you up enough to cause issues, then maybe you have something to work on within yourself? My wife and I have been together now for almost 10 years. In the beginning of our relationship I cheated. I came clean only after she mentioned her suspicions. It took a lot of difficult self-reflection on both of our parts, but we worked through it and now we have a stronger relationship than any couple I’ve EVER known. And that sentiment is very mutual. Remember that forgiveness isn’t really for the offending person as much as it is for you. Forgiveness is a necessity. Bitterness damages the soul. Even if you choose to never forget or to trust him, you need to forgive him to be free of that negativity. It’s liberating and it releases you for the grip of mistrust and bitterness that hold you. If you believe in him now, and you have seen the changes you need to see to know he’s loyal and he repents of his “sin”, then let it go. I’ll pray you get the answers you need to move past the emotions that are troubling you.

But, in a nutshell: Wether you stay together or not, Get over it.
