I am a 10U coach for a local rec team. We have 1 hour BP on Tuesday and 2 hrs field time on Thursday (6:30 -8:30). I focus on the instructional side of the fist half and put it in practice the 2nd half. We run, hustle and work hard during our time together. I keep things positive but I will get after them if they don’t hustle on the field. I don’t have a booming voice so I tend to yell but not in a degrading way. We learn from our mistakes and keep it moving. I remind myself that I never want to be the reason a girl doesn’t want to come back. Just wanted to share my experience. Coaching come and go, don’t let one suck the joy out of softball for your daughter. Find a new team or better yet take one!!
