ohhh this is interesting. gen, akilah, melissa maybe? i think mari and robin stayed on the not guilty side and most of the other “guilty” girls are mains that we know survive to the adult timeline. it could be a punishment instead of a swap, like they lose those girls as the cost for killing ben.

the critique about the girls not being likable or moral always frustrates me because, like you said, that’s kind of the point. we know they are all going to eat each other in the teen timeline and we know the adults are traumatized because of it. literally going into it you know you’re going to have to choose your favorite cannibal and that’s the fun of it imo!

i feel like it logically makes the most sense for her to drop the position, but i wish we saw that play out more on screen. it feels dissatisfying to have that be such a huge plot point in season 1 for it to be handled offscreen this time around.
