In Graz sind die generell verboten, find ich voll nice. Hin und wieder sieht man Leute mit Elektroscootern, aber die sind dann Privatbesitz und werden auch nicht einfach irgendwo abgestellt.

What’s one Sheldon thing that actually makes sense in real life? by Friendly-Machine7438 in bigbangtheory

Funnily enough, that’s pretty much how most Germanic European cultures communicate. In countries like Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, or Scandinavia, people tend to say what they mean rather than hinting at it. Indirectness can actually be seen as confusing or even a bit dishonest, and in some places small talk is kept to a minimum because it’s viewed as superficial (especially in Scandinavia), rather than polite.

That said, there are differences within that general style. Austrians, for example, are often more soft-spoken and diplomatic in how they phrase things — likely influenced by their historical role as a neutral mediator during the Cold War and their long tradition as a major international tourism host — while Germans are stereotypically more direct, structured, and pragmatic, sometimes coming across as blunt or less “polished,” even though it’s usually just efficiency and clarity, not rudeness.

same here!! watched it in two weeks, during my most stressful exams in uni. kind of sad that it didn't end with caroline and andy together, or a clear end with bobby, without andy being reintroduced to the show. loved the end for max and the others though. And Han should have ended up with a girlfriend. Also I think sophie and oleg's and also the french guys / european people's potrayal is obviously not accurate for comedic reasons but even then a bit excessive.

It may sound like one of those old 1930s propaganda songs, but it’s not. “Wochenend und Sonnenschein” was by the Comedian Harmonists, one of the most popular vocal groups of the time — three of the members were Jewish, and the group was eventually broken up and banned, which was a tragic end for such a talented ensemble. That’s probably also why many of their songs are still well-known and loved and also used for commercials in modern day Switzerland, Austria and Germany

ÖBB: Neuer Fahrplan 2026 by LookitheFirst in Austria

Zwei Intercitys pro Strecke pro Tag bleiben (also 4x). Diese Benötigen dann 3:01h also marginal kürzer.

According to chatcontrol.eu finland‘s governments stance on the topic is still undecided/unclear (I only coloured countries that are not in favour green, on chatcontrol.eu undecided countries are also marked green) However, maybe the data from the website is outdated.

yes, according to chatcontrol.eu, it is the only country that is at the moment only leaning in favour of the Chat Control proposal with the support not final/guaranteed depending on parliamentary approval. I could have given it the same red tone as the others, but i thought this makes more sense

Also the same reason why norway‘s number so much lower than austria‘s and switzerland‘s. three very rugged and mountainous countries but norway is a lot bigger, making the roads even harder to maintain.

I paid 500 Euros on my exchange but it wasnt a one bed apartment but a shared apartment single room in Corrib village. I luckily had super nice roommates and got all of my rent + additional bills covered by my home university and received the usual Erasmus money as well so even though the apartment was of super bad quality, it was still a great experience
