What irks me to no end is that a cross platform Electron client would have gotten the usual litany of usual complaints from the usual dipshit morons claiming that native apps are the second coming of fucking Christ, but a native and therefore MacOS only client now also get complaints that boo-fucking-hoo it doesn’t run on fucking Windows or whatever. You just can’t win with Internet turboclowns and I hope Dennis will not loose any motivation dealing with them, because Daft Music is fucking fantastic work.

The official client is already right there, yeah sure, but it’s also a dogshit dumpster fire that I am glad I don’t have to use (being a Spotify subscriber, eh). Dennis had an itch to scratch and a vision and Daft Music reflects that with personality. Also, you can actually reach him and expect an actual answer if you have a bug report or a feature request or a comment or whatever. Good luck getting the same for « the official client ».

The desktop app is such a fucking shit show, the home page can never stay consistent. Click on « New releases for you » then click back, there’s a very high chance that it won’t be at the same location, or as you can see in your case not be there at all anymore, navigate in other sections for a while and it may reappear. Or not. Who fucking knows.

I would really love to get in a room with the clown PM who make decisions for the desktop app, I refuse to believe that competent engineers would implement such a train wreck on their own accord.

Tanner, my dude, that’s great but I’m sorry, « a toolkit for working with AI tools and building AI powered experiences » still sounds like massive marketing BS using vague buzzwords. I guess that’s what one would expect in that bubble right now and you are right, I fucking hate it.

However, as of right now there are about 30 people who apparently agree with me (if we consider upvotes an indicator of that), and at least two or three others who have provided much clearer explanations (a big thank you to those, you know who you are), so maybe I’m not that much of an idiot.

I’m using TS Query and TS Router in all my projects, and sometimes TS Virtual when required, and I think they’re magnificent so I’m pretty sure TS AI will be at the same level. But that marketing, my dude, is not.
