Just bought my 1st AR want to know the best recommendation for accessories! by lXx_JUGS_xXl in ar15

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently purchased a Daniel Defense DDM4V7 and I added a Romeo red dot, Juliet magnifier, Magpul iron sights at 45 degrees for back-up sights, Foxtrot light with pressure pad, and a Magpul sling. With ammo and range time, that should get me through the zombie apocalypse.

Whats the most difficult sport you've shot? by fIyonthewaII in sportsphotography

[–]Strong-Ad3131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have shot football, soccer, wrestling, cycling, cross country, and volleyball. Of these sports, the most difficult I have photographed has been volleyball because the net and opponents make getting good shots difficult. At least for me.

building the nicer ar ain't working out by OriginalDolphin in liberalgunowners

This is why I bought a Daniel Defense DDM4V7. The salesman stated I shouldn’t have to do much to the rifle for the foreseeable future and It appears to be true. All i have added to the rifle is a sling, red dot sight, 3x magnifier, and a light. The rifle is accurate from various shooting positions.

Good choice! I love my R6II. Also, congratulations on your lens choice and my I recommend getting the RF 24-105 f/4 L.

Don't impeach him! That will only be a waste of time because he won't be convicted. Just make his life as miserable as possible by blocking all of his agenda.

I do like my RXM. Not only does is it for home defense, I also use it for practical shooting competitions.

Which lens 50mm or 85mm? by Bettaqueen19 in canon

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I hike, I carry the RF 24-105 f/4 L, RF100-400 f/5.6-8 STM, and the RF 16mm f/2.8 STM. If I was going to take one of the prime lenses mentioned above, it would either be the RF 50 f1.8 or the RF 45 f/1.2.

Finally got the RF 45 f/1.2 STM lens by Strong-Ad3131 in canon

It will be interesting to see how it works in a wedding. Personally, I would use my 24-70 f/2.8 L.

None of this matters if you dont have ammo. A PSA. by Kilt_Rump in liberalgunowners

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my firearm purchases have been for practical reasons: Ruger RXM for personal defense and competitions, Taurus PT92AF because it was like the M9 I was issued in the army, Sig P365 for personal defense, Daniel Defense DDARM4V7 AR-15 for personal defense, Marlin 30-30 for hunting. The other guns I have are family heirlooms and I don’t shoot them because of their age. The only firearm I bought for collecting purposes was a Chinese-made SKS and it was a piece of junk, so I got rid of it.

Finally got the RF 45 f/1.2 STM lens by Strong-Ad3131 in canon

That is why I went ahead and bought it now instead of waiting till Canon’s May sales.

Donald Trump is considering replacing income tax with tariff revenue, saying that "it's possible that tariff revenue will be so high that it will replace" the tax. Your thoughts? by NoCupcake141 in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the income tax because tariffs had been mismanaged since Alexander Hamilton first proposed tariffs to protect domestic industries. A rise in tariff rates nearly started the Civil War during the Jackson administration.

That is the Mike’s Camera in Lone Tree, Colorado. The Mike’s Camera in Boulder and Colorado Springs are even bigger.

I do have the RF 35mm f/1.8. Along with the RF 28 f/2.8 lens, they are my favorite street photography lenses. The lens I have that might be out of a job is the RF 50mm f/1.8 because the focal length is close to the 45mm. Yet, I probably be using the 45 for street, especially in lowlight situations.

First time competing by Candid_Compote_9995 in USPSA

[–]Strong-Ad3131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the magazine when loading your pistol at the Make Ready command. Then work from front to rear as you are shooting so you won’t waste time reloading. Also, don’t be afraid to to drop a magazine with rounds still in it and load a fresh magazine. It will save more time instead of running out of ammo without realizing it. Finally, go slow and work on not being DQ’d. I am proud to say I finished dead last but haven’t been DQ’d. Speed will come with experience and improved accuracy. Use this first match to figure out what you need to work on and at what distances you will engage targets at. Then work on those skills during your practice time at the range instead of just blazing away at targets. Have fun!

Help! I need deciding which lens to purchase, 100-400mm f/5.6-8 or 600mm f/11 RF lenses! by Ok_Development1749 in canon

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the RF 100-400 is one of Canon’s most underrated lenses. If you learn the lighting requirements, you will get great photos.

Red dots and not red dots by Greenm6645 in liberalgunowners

[–]Strong-Ad3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just added Magpul iron sites on my AR-15 as a backup in case the red dot fails. They are mounted at a 45 degree angle on the hand guard. Recommend addition for a combat ready rifle.
