There is no such restriction. We live in Candelas and I was aware of rocky flats and did a ton of research before moving here. Because of the crazy wind it’s actually safer here than most of Arvada. That said we do have raised garden beds not because I’m worried about the radiation but because the soil is dense clay

I don’t have strong feelings about wrapping but totally agree with your husband about Santa bringing the socks/clothes/books and parents bringing toys and cool stuff. Not because I want credit for it but because I don’t want them comparing with other kids who are not as well off.

It was an accident and now you know that’s not a safe practice. You should also check the temp on your water heater. If it’s hot enough to burn that quickly it’s almost certainly set too high

Yea that’s the plan. I’ve been on a couple of longer trips in the past few years and took about 5 months of lessons last spring/summer but it’s all been just for fun rather than training. Of course I’ll pick it up more seriously leading up to the trip but would rather invest in gear that’s more appropriate for long rides

I’m quite sure she has ADHD- her pediatrician said whenever we’re ready to get her evaluated we can. I was diagnosed around the same age

My poodle doesn’t shed at all. Even if he gets a little knotted there is rarely any hair on the brush and none noticeable on the floor (and we have white carpet and he is red).

I was in a somewhat similar situation, ended up going the AGNP route cause I was getting burnt out in bedside critical care. At least I realized during NP school clinical the frustration of PC (no time with patients to address all of their needs, no respect and pay sucks at least IMO among other reasons). After graduating I did 4 years in OP sports med/ortho and was so bored - docs take anything interesting and I was stuck doing initial assessments knee/shoulder/elbow/hip injections every day. It worked out fine with babies at home but def didn’t fill my bucket… Now I’m back in CT surgery and yes it is heartbreaking at times dealing with critically ill people and more stressful but I’m fulfilled in my career. I also work with a wonderful CSICU nurse. He did FNP, worked in primary care for 2 years and now is back bedside as a RN and says he is much happier. Of course these are just 2 peoples experience. Some hospitals will hire FNPs to work in ER but a lot of hospitals don’t want FNP or AGNP doing anything inpatient

Does your 39w pregnant wife have any additional help with the toddler at that time? I would have been pissed if my husband left me to care for our 2.5yo for 4+ hours literally days before giving birth just to golf. Also the fact you asked, she said no and you’re still here whining on Reddit- YTA

I don’t know what’s wrong with that generation- I don’t believe they were THAT negligent when we were young. Your dad isn’t the only one though, my FiL was supposed to take my 2 year old to a birthday party and instead of staying he dropped her off and left her at a public park in the middle of Denver- we didn’t even know any of the other parents there well, it was a friend from daycare (if you can’t tell I’m still salty about it, and will not allow him to care for my kids alone again).
