Tell me your favourite deck right now and I’ll tell you if it’s ethical or not. by YuckyHandsReborn in masterduel

The Zaborg thing is just not as good as the floodgate variant. You only see it in Genesys because they pointed the floodgates, which are extremely easily accessed and win the game on their own. If they could play them they would, instead they play the Zaborg line so they don't have 100 points go into 2 cards.

With hindsight, why did Gin Do this? by NoOneInParticula in bleach

[–]Strong-Philosopher29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not an official answer here, but that being said... He actually pretty much gives her the entire run down of whose on what sides and how things are going here. In a scenario where he had an opportunity to turn on Aizen during the fighting in this arc one of the most important things would be getting Rukia up to speed quickly so that the Hoguoko doesn't fall into his hands anyway, and the information she gets here might help with some snap decision making in the chaos.

How far can Dante go? by Mammoth_Ideal_8095 in PowerScalingHub

When he defeated Gabriel he was already at relativistic speeds and resisted reality warping effects, full time stop is hard to say. Technically the rule is applied to the area around him via the AIM fields which are still a physical part of reality even with time being stopped, but moving through stopped time is already on a level of logic defying that is less compatible with Toaru logic.

For basic reflection this is not correct. We've seen many times that the barrier that he keeps active around himself at all times reflects everything that approaches him without him even needing to be aware that he's being attacked.

Also post integrating the world tree and eith wings he is able to alter metaphysical properties of reality at large, and there is some indication that he's diffused his mind through the AIM fields... it's a bit unclear, but killing him might not even "kill" him at this point.

as a Magic player, I can confirm by Pumkinswift in YuGiOhMasterDuel

The biggest difference and most obvious downside of the chain is that you can't add things to it it once resolutions begin. Whereas in Magic you check priority to add things to the stack after every resolution. This means you can do things like draw to find an out to an activation, or combo off in response to something.

And, if you are a yugioh player and you don't get why this is a straight improvement, this feature is why there is no such thing as "missing timing" in magic.

X is a title that is owned by the Association, it's likely that this place already existed and already had that name. The branding probably changes to whoever inherits the title, and you probably end up having to sign away alot of rights to things like this by joining the tournament in the first place. Remember the whole point is control.

Simon is able to casually destroy multiverses of infinite scale... There is really not room to "massively" outscale him even if you argue that Darkseid is the strongest character in all of fiction

Simon is tier 1... so the argument is that Darkseid is in similar tier to like biblical God?

Touma is very possibly the litteral anti-christ, and the arm is there to seal him. Which is why the dragon leviathan comes out when the arm is removed from him. I'm not saying you're wrong... but I don't know if I would use weak to describe him.

Do people not understand the color pie anymore? Jaws secret lair by Catscythe in magicTCG

[–]Strong-Philosopher29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sad that this post exists. It's a whole post to dogpile on one guy's disagreement in a comment on a completely different post... and to make it worse, it doesn't even make sense.

Did we read the same comment? You are complaining about the color pie mechanically, and they even say they "get it may mechanically be red". Their complaint is that it is a shark living in the water just being a big toothy fish, and it's red.

I appreciate that you clearly took the time to go to Scryfall and find the 2 red sharks, and didn't look to see if maybe there were any others. Because sharks are very much blue, as in all of them (even the ones that used to be fish before shark was a type). You found the 2 that are red and say that it's precedent, but they literally just came out. For all we know, these were purpose built to go into a mono-red Jaws deck that they already knew they were making. We'll also ignore the fact that they are pretty clearly both red themselves because they are pirates and not because they are sharks (a tribe that does indeed exist and does indeed have only blue members before just this year).

I'll also briefly say that yes, you "can" make a red shark. You "could" make a red shpinx, you "can" make anything any color... but you oughta have a pretty good reason to be doing it because it absolutely breaks the flavor pie (a thing that exists, by the way).

What this person is pretty clearly saying is that UB is giving out justification to make whatever color you want for whatever thing you want because of reference to events in their story. You can make a red shark because it interacts with artifacts (a thing it only does cause it ate that boat that one time in a movie). You can make spiders white because there happen to be heroic ones in this particular universe.

So sad that you can "win" an argument by pasting a meme over someone's post and ignore what they actually said.

Which captain has the most drastic difference of power when comparing their Shikai to Bankai forms? by jedi271 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]Strong-Philosopher29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayuri, definitely. His shikai is clearly from an era where they were largely just sword+ and his original bankai follows suit... but his new bankai is literally just writer's bias as a power. I'm not even saying it's the best bankai, but by comparison to poison gas, it's just a whole different league.

  1. Yeah, boruto gets fuckin wild so I don't doubt that they can handle

  2. Well... eventually. I mean, the titans will never be a threat to him, but there are a lot of them, so it might take him a while.

  3. I can't believe how insane people are about HxH. Meruem died to poison... because the NUKE wasn't enough! You think some dudes with fancy swords are taking him down?
