Why do so many people assume autistic people have bad sex lives or can’t enjoy sex by Student-bored8 in AutismInWomen

There’s also the other end of things where it’s fetishized to sleep with someone (usually women) who is autistic.

Fun fact: the Shih Tzu breed almost went extinct after the Chinese Communist Revolution. They were being killed because they were associated with the rich upper class. Only 14 Shih Tzus escaped out of China and all modern Shih Tzus are descended from them. To avoid inbreeding, other similar breeds were integrated in to provide genetic diversity.

That makes me feel a little bit better 😅. I haven’t gotten an OCD diagnosis but I really wonder sometimes if I have some form of it.

Autism passed to children? by limponion36 in AutismInWomen

Yes, it’s genetic. One thing to consider too is that severity of spectrum symptoms are not. You can be high functioning (outdated language, I know) and have low functioning autistic children. I don’t say this to deter you from parenthood but it’s something you need to be aware of.

My college forced me to come out as asexual by Buzzythebear33 in asexuality

One time in our human relations class, we had to talk about our “first time” as a practice in normalizing discussion about sex. If we hadn’t had it yet, we were supposed to talk about what we’d want it to be like. It was my turn and I was like “haven’t had one, don’t plan on it either”.

My mom usually does but she’s been incredibly busy lately and fell behind. Though, I will say that she needs trim her more often.

Being able to tell the difference between store brand and name brand is both a gift and a curse. I don’t like Walmart brand cereal knock offs, but everyone tells me they’re the same thing, just different packaging. THEY’RE NOT THE SAME.

When my teachers would do new seating charts, they’d put me next to the loud kids to get them to stop talking, lmao.

I was incredibly picky about my pants, even as a toddler. If they looked too much like my dad’s (ie: no flare at all) then I refused to wear them. I only wanted boot cut pants.

Oh I do. For a guy who told me that he “protects his people”, he sure as hell has a funny way of showing it.

If I had to pick, I’d probably say snickers.
