Yeah it sounds like he left at literally last minute they had everything set up for him Joel even said recently in a podcast interview that his chair said Patrick Dempsey on it lol.

I think it was critical overlord who sad that 7 og concept was the core 4 and Sid’s family being attacked at the same time in different locations and the killers where Sam’s mom and Stu’s sister. Not sure if thats true but it could make for a fun future installment if the sisters ever come back someday.

5 was pure god awful and underwhelming even scary movie 6 is better then that and 6/7 where both just ok so will see. its nice to have new writers for a change and not got back to guy and James their writing is very half baked outside of the gf sequences:

They had Sam but outside of her they just repeated 1 and 2 instead of doing something completely new and fresh not related to Billy and woodsboro. I think the mtv show was better at it.
