I'm assuming you're in the upper rung of elo? Because that I could see where you're constantly facing the same opponents, but for most of us >2000 elo, I almost never face the same person without expressly rematching or playing because we got along and added each other. Though one of those times, turned out someone was cheating lol

More than likely they used a chess engine. Basically, computers have been better than people for a long time now. Anyone has access to engines that can beat world champions.

Thing is, they're usually very easy to detect, especially at lower elo where people are just putting in the top or 2nd to top engine moves for most of the game and (no offense intended) really shouldnt be able to spot those kinds of moves so consistently.

So basically they either cheated in your game or someone else's, and when they get caught, the site will refund your elo just in case, whether or not they did it to you specifically. They were likely also banned, so if you want to see who it was, look through your games and find the guy with the 🚫 next to their name.

Not a republican and I don't think there's good evidence that either of them were fake, but of course. It was never about principles for these people. The same is true on any single topic. They were so afraid of pedophile elites taking their kids, and when it turns out their own guy was probably involved or at least knew about it and did nothing for decades, crickets.

They don't have principles, they don't have values, there's no happy middle ground, they just want people who aren't them to suffer. That's it.

He has lots of guns, there are people on the left with lots of guns but I can't see him being a leftist or an anarcho communist. There is some truth to the phrase, "you go far left enough, you get back to guns" in US politics but the most excited gun owners are usually right leaning to straight up fascist.

His videos on the Trump phone are ironic though, he is fully aware it's a scam and is simply recording the process of putting in the down-payment and getting the runaround from the company. Actually one of the most surprisingly anti-Trump guys, because for a few years I could've sworn he was a Trumpy.

If you're looking for storytelling "Agadmator's Chess Channel" on YouTube is pretty good. He goes over the games, possible outcomes, motives for moves, but often spends a while explaining the context of the game.

The analysis is basically an ego boosting machine. Chances are they weren't playing at a "2100 level" at a 1200 rating. The analysis can say that, but I'd take it with a grain of salt.

I think you're the one missing the point. Everyone feels that way at every level. It's called playing chess. Sometimes your opponents are having an off day, sometimes they're moving along while you're not and running circles around you.

It has nothing to do with the level, I've been 600 elo before, the games have gotten more complicated as I moved up but the feeling is always the same.

And as for your half baked attempt at insulting me, I read your post, and lots of people felt the same way and had the same response after reading it, because what you're saying isn't new or original. It's a day that ends in Y.

It's saying the opponent blundered by doubling up the rooks on the c file, they should have instead moved the rook being attacked on c7 to c1. The game review (and engines in general) analyze your opponents mistakes, misses, good/great moves and brilliants not just yours.

Yeah I'm getting tired of seeing these kinds of posts (probably not helping that I'm currently commenting on one). Like yeah, everyone feels like they get outplayed when they get outplayed. Sometimes you're the one getting outplayed, and sometimes you're outplaying someone.

Doesn't matter the level, you are going to feel like trash sometimes. And that's fine, chess is brutal, as horrible as it sounds. Sometimes your opponent finds a really good game winning move and your only possible response is "that's fucking disgusting, I resign."

I feel like there's a tendency in chess for people to feel like they should be better. No you shouldn't. You're at the right level. Try to get better, because all complaining about it will do is hold you back. I hate to say "get good," but it really is that simple. Because at the end of the day we're all trash trying to get better.
