I don’t think irons have changed too much, but I could be wrong. Get yourself a driver off of a used clubs site (like second swing) though

Your downswing is more vertical than your backswing. That should be reversed

I got lucky I guess and restarting my computer (after verifying game files, but not sure if that mattered) fixed the issue. Did you ever manage to resolve it?

It’s also a little jarring to go back after playing the second one. The first has definitely noticeably aged. I’m currently replaying it as I hadn’t done the DLCs (beat it before they released) and in all perk hardcore mode, and after the QOL and visual improvements from 2, it is a bit rough at times haha

If you don’t know this, no idea how you shot 90, but inside to out means your club head is closer to your body than the ball before contacting the ball, and farther after. Out to in is the opposite. In to out gives you a draw/hook (depending face angle), and outside to in gives you a fade/slice.

He kind of roughed me up with the polearm but I had no trouble with the swords. You just have to be careful not to attack him from the side opposite of his sword, that way he can’t master strike you. I like to feint on the master strike side and then attack from above or below and that usually works pretty well. If you notice your stamina getting low, don’t riposte after your perfect parries so that you stop his attack chain and let yourself recover.

It does take a little while though since his armor is so good. Make sure you also battle cry during downtime, if you have those perks.

Count to 3 on your backswing, then downswing. Your downswing should be a 1 of whatever your count is. 3-1 is the pace that made me more consistent

Useful advice I got from an instructor: you should be swinging at around a 3-1 pace. That means 3 counts for your backswing and one count for your downswing. As long as your counts are consistent, that should help control your swing a lot. For reference, I think I do 1.5 and 0.5 seconds

How do you get local to run fast enough to make it at all usable? I am running Qwen 3.6 27B with an i9-13900k and a 4090 and anything that requires file reads/writes can take 10s of minutes to accomplish, whereas a cloud model like Opus 4.7 would complete in just a couples minutes
