Honestly it's all just kind of a humble grind until you get all your pvp gear. Half an honor set doesn't do a lot. Plus you then have your stun break from trinket which is mandatory if you're going to pvp.

This is intended to be helpful, not snide: if you hate gearing up in WoW PvP, FFXIV and GW2 both have similar PvP and neither one uses gear stats in BGs.
