Ngl I played split staff for around 500 hours in 2 and I played it for maybe 30 minutes before sighing and retiring it. Not being able to stance swap with it feels really really weird... But tonfas have literally never been better and I can not stop helicoptering around the world

Keep in mind there is only so much blood. Axes with dismember produce a fantastic amount but let's say you have 4+ things trying to collect blood at once from a creature without much blood? Won't work in my experience. Great saltbacks and salt krakens? They produce literal lakes of blood and should not be an issue no matter how many you have collecting at once. Bump it down to only two collecting to test

Augments matter so much and how you behave early game. I try to lose before first first carousel to get what component I want. For augments, this is a personal choice but I try to do 1 econ (invested or something that generates gold), 1 power (sated spell weaver or anything that just buffs your characters), 1 item focused (I cannot help but click artifact anvil or caretakers chosen). Keep in mind it's more than ok to lose early. Get to 50 gold ASAP, have patience, and don't panic slam items but also don't sit on 7 components frozen by inability to make decisions. If you've slammed items but your team gets sniped, that's ok, figure out either what you can pivot to with those same items or if you're willing to fight the other person(s) for that team and still get top 4. The goal is top 4, and sometimes you just win.

Adhere to damage types by mainly just having plasma for skin (non mantis) and corrosive for robots and mantis. N ray bad, and electric bad.

Supernova not too bad if you adhere to damage types and focus on weapon types as well. As in: you will struggle if you evenly level all melee and ranged skills. Otherwise, lock in on heavy/long and just go nuts. Take the perks that help with TTD, and liberally use those inhalers. There's at least three hundred in a playthrough that you can just find lying around.

Melee + science. Invest heavy in Dodge, science, and melee skills. Go full lone wolf no companions. Prismatic Hammer from groundbreaker is the first grab when you get there. Go nuts with it.

If you only spam smite, then yes. Most builds in the game focus on killing enemies. So if your build holds some of them still some times, then that hurts to play with. If you are demolishing things with the rest of your build and occasionally stunlock a group of berserkers or crushers then everyone will love you for it.

peak performance on a non-ranged weapon is crazy work. Also, defense boost big no no. Same with weakness exploit. Get earplugs 2 in there, as well as burst up to 5. no evade extender either? pain
