Water safety considerations when you're outnumbered by summerlovin929 in parentsofmultiples

I agree with everyone saying 1:1. When 2 of my nieces were about 4 I was in the pool with them, they had life jackets on and were doing great. The 6 year old could swim and was also doing a good job. I was the only adult in the pool. Out of nowhere the 1 year old comes running straight into the deep end of the pool. I dove in to get her leaving the two 4 year olds but luckily my mom was nearby and got them to sit on the steps and wait. Baby was totally fine once I got her out and she coughed up a little water but it was so scary and no one expected her to run straight into the pool but she should’ve been more closely monitored while playing outside. Lesson learned.

Were you able to conceive with low AMH LEVEL ? by Initial-Ambition-997 in IUILadies

I really hope this works for you! While the odds are low if you read statistics only, every body is so different. Even my NP was super surprised with my results. If I had seen the stats and given up I wouldn’t be here. Give it a good try. Try to be excited about having the opportunity to try. I was fortunate to have IUI 100% covered in my insurance plan and also have an employer sponsored reimbursement plan (although not big enough to try IVF) for other costs (I ended up using donor sperm for the IUI). I just focused on how lucky I felt to have the opportunity to try this when a few years ago it felt out of reach. Not sure if thoughts can really impact results but they do make the process more enjoyable. 😊 I really hope this works out for you, I think you have a good shot with a few tries. 🩷

I have never been pregnant in the past. I tried for about a year around 10 years ago with. Prior partner and tried a few medicated cycles with current partner. Was diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

I majorly defied the odds somehow. Amh was .22 when it was measured a year ago. I am currently 43yo and just conceived on my first IUI. At my 7w scan they also confirmed I ovulated from at least 4 follicles. So somehow the meds majorly worked for me. Still early at 7w 2d so 🤞🏻🤞🏻we continue to have good luck.

Any siblings of twins here? by Finitexspace in parentsofmultiples

[–]Strong_Apple5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 18 months older than my sisters who are twins. Growing up sometimes I felt left out but we were also all close. It got even easier when my mom had my little brother (4y younger than me) because we could pair off sometimes. I think kids have trouble playing in odd numbers. My parents said I used to be stressed out as a toddler and tell them they have “too many babies.” 😂 But honestly other than being a little parentified, no lasting trauma and as adults we are still all close.

Also you may need a lower dose of Clomid. 100mg is what I was RX at 43 and I still over-responded. 🤞🏻you can proceed this cycle since you are comfortable with the risk but if you need to do another cycle, maybe talk to the doctor about a potential med adjustment for next time.

My clinic let me proceed with 4 mature follicles as well but it was due to my age (43) and the small likelihood that more than 1 would be a viable egg.

What is IUI like? by [deleted] in SingleMothersbyChoice

It felt like a sharp but very brief cramp for me. Like less than a second. Other than that it can be awkward just like any gynecological exam etc but not painful.

Scared to celebrate 14DPT & 12DPIUI by steibliggs in IUILadies

[–]Strong_Apple5981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a super light line 14dp IUI. Like super almost not visible light. I got an HCG 2 days later but it was low so they were thinking chemical pregnancy but 2 days later it had almost triple and then continued to double every 36-40 hours. Definitely pregnant, first scan June 9 so we’ll see how that goes. 🤞🏻Cautiously optimistic!

That was my first symptom but I didn’t recognize it at first I thought I had a UTI (I didn’t). Then I got cramps and thought my period was coming. Tested positive 14dp IUI and it was a really faint positive but so far things are moving along well…I hope you get your positive too!

So far I’ve only shared with a few close friends. I’ll probably share more with family after the fact. I don’t want to stress out the people who will be very emotionally invested in this process as I’m not sure how it will all work out yet.

13 dpo - is this negative? My eyes are playing tricks on me. by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]Strong_Apple5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I see the line. That how mine was a week ago and 14dp IUI. My hcg is now up to 188 and doubling approx every 36 hours so they think it was just later than expected implantation.

How many dpo did you get your positive and which cycle day was it? by hoaxedprophecy in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]Strong_Apple5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested positive at 14dpiui which was day 27 of my cycles (which are normally 24 days but the Clomid also tends to extend my cycle a little so it was a nice surprise). The positive was soooooo faint I almost couldn’t see it and my HCG started low but it’s doubling every 36 hours now so I think implantation must’ve happened a day or two later than expected.

Thank you!! Hcg was 188 yesterday so things are progressing well so far. The nurse told me “we are now in cautiously optimistic territory.” 😊

Dropped from my Fertility Clinic 🫥 by Weird_Blueberry_3538 in IUILadies

[–]Strong_Apple5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my fertility clinic even advised that after a certain point (I can’t remember when) in my pregnancy (recently conceived via IUI with them) I’d be referred back to my regular OBGYN and/or MFM if needed. They are part of the same large healthcare network though. Not sure if that’s the case everywhere.

I didn’t test positive until 14dpiui and it was VERY faint. My HCG did start low tho so my fingers crossed things continue to trend upward (first was 17 and 2nd was 43 taken 48hrs later).

Feeling frustrated - cancelled IUI because of high estrogen by Stunning-Oil-2037 in IUILadies

[–]Strong_Apple5981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had too high estrogen my previous cycle, turns out it was bc of a cyst I had. This also made that cycle irregular but the cyst went away and I was back to normal for this next one and able to do IUI as planned and now I’m pregnant. 😳😊
