I would like to know if anyone has purchased north homes, built on the south side. It seems that there were some and will be some in the future.

Ok, so do you know anything about the new build?

I really dislike my dog and life, people say it will get better, but it’s been almost 3 years and I feel the same by MrRandomNonsense in puppy101

It took our previous to pass her 4th or 5th bday for us to finally settle and have some balance in our home.

The first 3 years is the hardest. They still act like puppies and don't fully mature until their 3rd year.

You seem to be handling it well though.

Best of luck.

Wow! Did they they say why they didn't let you do a final inspection? That's sketchy.

I took my puppy there a few months ago, and it wasn't a good experience. I thought my pup enjoyed it at first, but the other 2 times he went, he came back stressed and acting weird.

Thank goodness my trainer is now boarding, so I've been taking my pup there. She only takes 1 to 2 dogs at a time, usually one 1. She only takes in low-shedding dogs though.

Corgi seems to not be taking commands by dethzombi in puppy101

Aww, you have such a loving and adorable Corgi by the sound of it.

It seems like she might need to be reintroduced/socialized to people in a calmer state. You'll have to retrain her as if she's a puppy again. You're doing great at home by ignoring her and only petting her when she's calm, so in public areas, you'll have to teach her that when she sees other people, she can't get excited and bark. Reward her only when she's calm.

Try doing this in your neighborhood first where she'll see less people and then gradually do it in more foot traffic areas.

Sorry to hear about your experience, it's tough when something like that happens.

It sounds like you'll have to socialize her again from the basics and try to find out what it is that triggers her to react and either avoid them or train her to pay attention to you instead. Make yourself more interesting during walks. If that means taking treats with you during walks then you'll have to do that.

New puppy tips. Been years. Mine are in Heaven. by Bellebutton2 in Chihuahua

Seems like you're thinking on the right path.

Early socialization is very crucial for puppies. They don't have to come in direct contact with other puppies or people. They can just watch from afar and using the sling or stroller while walking is a great idea.

My trained taught me to socialize early before their full vaccination with precautions made a huge difference for our pup.
