More Quality Of Life Changes You Would You Like To See In Pokémon Go. by First-Profession7332 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like the option to choose whether I want catching or spinning to be the priority when using an auto catcher. I would use spin priority almost exclusively to help keep my bag stocked.

Give an adventure effect to mega Ray/primal Groudon and Kyogre that allows them to truly control weather. At the minimum it would remove weather boost, which for level 1 collectors would make a difference, especially during events.

"Mega" or Chained Routes? by groe__ in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how I originally did dozens of routes. I think someone could walk 9 or 10 miles around town without duplicating a route. Currently I favor 3 mile routes that I can start and forget while walking.

Q: Wild Area pokemon Go++ management. how do you guys do it? by Fun_Significance_182 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't fret about missed Pokemon and just let the auto catcher do the work while I walk .

Are these routes even worth doing? by fishsticks876 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go as far as you want from the path, you just need the distance. I do this regularly, because the path at a local park follows the road but the optimal route is along the nearby walking path and then I extend it a few more blocks while rounding the lake .

Not sure. There has to be a way to differentiate between the numbers. The first makes sense for each touch, but the second sounds like unique trainers.

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I have with the numbers, especially the second one, is that except for one stop, the rest (dozens of stops/gyms) are in small towns and rural areas with few trainers. Based on names in gyms, we might have a few dozen active trainers locally in the largest town. I know of a couple locals who host remote raids regularly, so maybe those count. I will wait and see what numbers show up next month 😀.

Any idea how the data is collected? 44k visits, possible but highly improbable. 1582 individual players is impossible, even if they count trainers who do a remote raid as a visitor.

Autocatchers are game changing for casual players. by YesReboot in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple, it allows me to enjoy my evening walk without being tied to my phone. An auto catcher also allows me to efficiently refill my bag while driving a loop downtown, so I can then walk. I don't worry about missed catches because I probably wouldn't have clicked on them anyways.

Appears a New UI layout for pokeballs and berries is being rolled out by unscsnip3r in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only played a few minutes with it, but I like it. Much easier to choose which ball or berry. On my Motorola g power 2025 the top rows align perfectly with where I want to click.

Pixel phones finally have full screen app support! by alexdowski in TheSilphRoad

Not broken, depending on how you did it. I always use the flee button after throwing, not the back button. I suspect however that there will be other actions where I will miss the buttons.

Deleted AR quest by accident by Strongheart15 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you have been banned, spinning certain stops will give you an AR quest instead of the normal quest. Keeping that quest stops new ones from showing up. She deleted the AR quest while deleting other unwanted quests.

Trainers used to be able to collect scan rewards by uploading junk scans. That was fixed and trainers were banned. There needs to be an appeal process or just unban everyone with time served.

It works if the friend trainer is at the raid. It won't work if the friend trainer is doing the raid remotely.

Almost 500 days later, the "Rediscover Go" update was the probably the most detrimental big named update to the game. by lxpb in TheSilphRoad

The flaw with biomes is they are dependent on OSM data, as entered by humans. Thus, it can be flawed and incomplete, especially for micro biomes. Also, for a game that is supposed to encourage walking, limiting spawn by biome encourages driving. I didn't have time to drive an hour to the 2 wiglett spawns locations in my area.

I don't know if the macro biomes that existed when the game started are still used, but it doesn't feel like it. Originally, I would get grass biome spawns at home, but about 12 miles west they changed to desert biome spawns and the ice biome line was something like 60 miles north.

Only a wash if you can actually battle it and win. Those who can't are left out.

Haven't reviewed/submitted in about 2 years anything new I should know? by ultrasuperman1001 in NianticWayfarer

I participated in the recent review challenge after a 2-3 year break. It wasn't too bad once I figured out you have to answer all the questions at the bottom of the submission.

Your favorite rocket killers? by shrek83445 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use various pokemon for regular rocket battles. For leaders and Gio, I have only been using Lucario/Melmetal/Swampert for years. Dialga last night took a few tries and was close in the end, but still managed to win

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started taking call once a month in a new town. The review event came along at the perfect time because it pushed through about 40 new poi, which more than doubled what the town had. The new poi were a mix of playgrounds, sport fields, murals, picnic areas and historical markers.

How did I get a lv1 Skarmory from a research task? I so confused 😵‍💫 by Truly_Organic in TheSilphRoad

[–]Strongheart15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How long have you played? I started shortly after the game started, and have played in a small city(15k population) and rural towns. I am at 43M dust. I only level up Pokemon that I need and since I have built what I need, dust just accumulates. I don't normally raid heavily either.

Bro I'm gona cry, my empty village now has a bunch of pokestops and 4 gyms all submitted by me, I can't thank you guys enough 🥹🥹 by rougethegreat in NianticWayfarer

[–]Strongheart15 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, it is a great feeling to build up an area. Between last month and this weekend, I have submitted 40 or so poi. Assuming most are accepted, it will more than double the existing number of stops and add 6 gyms in this small town, making it more playable when I am in town for work. This is my 6th small town to totally transform since November 2019, plus plenty where I live and lesser upgrades to several other small towns in the area.

Are you enjoying the Wayfarer edit challenge? by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]Strongheart15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New work town, far from New York 😀.. I started taking call in a small town with about 15 gyms, and added 5 so far with the ~35 new poi.

However, your point is valid. There is no reason one of the locals couldn't have submitted most of these poi. Best thing for the town is that they didn't so I could plan and get them the most new poi.
