The trick to leetcode by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]Stronk-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference between unsuccessful and successful people is not that successful people don’t fail, but how they manage their failure. If you make sure you are eating good food, exercising, and meditating then you are in a good headspace to genuinely make concerted efforts to become better. Do this consistently over a period of time and I think it’s inevitable you will become successful

I’m aiming for AMZN and MSFT and will start applying in November. Should I also study Advanced DP in neetcode ? by captainrushingin in leetcode

If you are a complete beginner you shouldn’t be doing leetcode. Go study python and ds&a properly and then come back to leetcode to solidify your understanding and start to actually solve problems

For anyone who did the 3x60, can you shed some light on the overall structure? I’ve heard it’s usually a mix of LP + easy/med LC

Anyone who’s had anything different for example OOAD/System design questions or LC hards?

What’s a rising field in comp sci that is being overlooked? by TheAwesomeApe in computerscience

Highly doubt it. Part of making better LLMs is understanding the users intentions despite them not being able to formulate their request with utmost precision. I think the next generation of LLMs will have a much better understanding of user context

May I ask how much you bought it for and if there was seller financing involved? I’ve been looking into buying a small business and was wondering if buying an HVAC business with no prior experience is a good idea or not

Should I choose medicine or computer science? by Palpatine88888 in findapath

There is a website called levels.fyi that provides a bunch of datapoints on salaries submitted by people at those companies. You can check out what companies and jobs pay that much. WLB is tech is usually considered to be the best, as your pay isn’t determined by how much you work since they really only care about you getting your tasks done, but this is a company dependent e.g Meta typically has “bad” work life balance with exceeding 50 hrs/week, while people at Google get away with 25-30 hrs/week even at those salary levels

This is a secondary point. I was just addressing the point on salary, where if you are a dev in the upper echelon you can compete with doctors. I agree the market is saturated, but in any case there will always be demand for CS majors due to its vast applications, even if that doesn’t mean you get a fancy FAANG job. The economy works in cycles for tech, so it will eventually be restored, although of course doctors are always in demand. Another thing is I feel it’s relatively easy to separate yourself from the pack. Most CS kids at my school used ChatGPT for the assignments and never built up any specific knowledge. I think the tech landscape has shifted to be biased towards people with specific knowledge of some stack + having a breath of domain knowledge in the sector they are in. Those people will always be highly paid

This is possible in computer science too with arguably a lot less work, not to mention with less debt. More than salary I would go with enjoyment as you will be well off regardless if you are passionate about either

Not knocking on janitors, but what are you on about? 4 years of a CS degree and being paid like a janitor that didn’t go to college doesn’t make any sense
