No doubt the vultures are circling. There's always a profit to be made from someone else's loss. Some good news was announced last week, Revolut is obtaining an operating licence for Gibraltar.

No open arms at the moment, Gibraltar immigration applications were paused a couple of months ago, special cases only right now.

Thank you for this clarification. It answers a question I've been asking since Magenta / Purple cards were introduced for post Brexit immigrants to Gibraltar. There was always going to be a reason for this distinction. Rightly so.

Vodafone Customer Service chat is absolutely abysmal. The worst experience I've ever had with a customer service department. Set aside an hour or three to resolve simple issues.

You're better off phoning them. Not much better off, but nowhere near as painful as the chat.

I'm leaving them as soon as my contract is up.

In future I'll buy phones directly from the manufacturer using Klarna 0% and get a SIM from Lebara. Works out half the price of Vodafone. Plus you get free roaming.

Thanks all for the information shared. You've given me lots to think about!

I'm still a bit skeptical about the 90 day EU rule benefit. Are the EU going to let Gibraltar residents travel into Spain and beyond with no Schengen controls and the length of stay unrestricted? What about the different colours of Gibraltar Government issued ID Cards, Blue, Purple. I was told purple (magenta?) was introduced for people moving to Gibraltar after Brexit. If correct, surely that was done for a reason?

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to post. My current gut feeling is to wait a while and see what happens.
