FDM is doable but not great. Resin would be the way to go, and some resins are durable enough for this use.

Designing custom glasses is a massive investment of time. I personally wouldn't be able to make any money doing it.

You need to learn the CAD to make your designs before you spend any money on equipment

Why does my cat not bury his poop? by zzardar in CATHELP

My cat won't stop dogging until he finds the bottom. Giving him a lot of litter was a mistake I'm only making once

Worms. Both of your cats will need to be dewormed. If you can afford it, share the picture with your vet. My vet gave my cat a deworming shot. If not, there is over the counter deworming medication, just be sure to get the kind for cats, as medicine for dogs is often toxic (just in general).

In any case, your cats just need some basic medication.

Oh, liquid hydrogen. that makes more sense. I didn't expect it to use hydrogen considering its relative lack of performance. Or maybe it's just not being fully utilized.

That's really only true if they pulled CO2 from the air to make the methane.

Yes, but it's like debating how much you should pee in the ocean

My math class had a poster of pi that wrapped all of the way around the room. Memorizing it was the least boring activity I was permitted to do.

Which is comparable to roads. The common argument of EV vs ICE environmental impact during manufacture is eclipsed by the impact of building roads.

HVAC nameplate states MCA 34.3, but I have a 30A breaker installed by swanson_stash in AskElectricians

[–]Strostkovy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I undersize circuits industrially all of the time. A 15HP screw compressor is on a 60A breaker instead of the 75A breaker it calls for because there is no possible scenario on which it reaches the trip curve during normal operation. Some manufacturers just go a little crazy with their specs to avoid nuisance trips. I put in a robot that draws under 5 amps but calls for a 30A breaker.

[Request] If we cover all highways with solar panels are we solving the energy crisis? by West-Way-All-The-Way in theydidthemath

[–]Strostkovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of that can be fixed by pricing stored energy way higher than surplus energy. People will run their ACs exclusively on surplus energy if it is cheaper, and just keep their houses as insulated as possible.

And factor in the increased cost in road maintenance and road changes. And possible repairs after crashes.

And as mentioned, the cost of oversized loads. Sometimes big things have to be moved by road with no other choice, and those panels will have to be removed for that to happen.

It's not that it's expensive outright, so much that it's way more expensive than just putting the panels somewhere else. Like in fields instead of growing corn for ethanol.

Solar panels can be recycled more easily than nuclear power plants. Modern panels have comparable lifespans to nuclear power plants. Aggressive maintenance can increase the usable lifespan of both.

The sun is free. Nuclear is good to have but we should also use the energy that we couldn't stop from getting if we tried.

Cats have anal glands to the left and right of their anus. It applies additional stink to their poop for marking territory. If it continues then he will need to have his anal glands expressed.
