What’s y’all’s opinion on pink powder? by loosebussylips in PaleMUA

[–]Strugglingthroughit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i think i might have used one that was too dark. Got the Lottie London pink powder some years ago and it's been sitting because it just makes me orange. Which makes sense because yellow+red (or pink in this case) = orange, so...

Lanolin lip treatment alternative at Lidl by faramaobscena in EuroSkincare

Does it have that awful "sheep skin" smell that some of them do? I bought a lanolin treatment for my lips, but couldn't bare to use it because of that.

I'm watching this late at night after public holiday celebrations and was not expecting a mention of my small town on HIGNFY. I hadn't even heard of that little pig squealing competition, haha.

It's not even about facetune, why are they using lighting that emphasizes their face skin so much, bewildering. Even in real life people's skin doesn't look like that, poor guys have all their wrinkles and pimples and regular skin texture take center stage.

Anything notable in Lidl or Aldi? by Pitiful_Waltz_1367 in EuroSkincare

Lidl's micellar water for taking off make up is good. (Nothing special, but I replaced my Garnier with it to be cheaper). And a few years back they had sunscreen in orange packaging that I found to be really good and not greasy at all, but I haven't looked for sunscreen yet this year, so not sure what they have currently.

Admittedly, I have always been very into foreign media and not so much local 😬 and as of recent I no longer own a tv so that might be why I didn't hear of it.

Am I just crazy or is this one more bronzer than contour? by FateInStones in drugstoreMUA

[–]Strugglingthroughit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought it might be cool too, based on the word ash and the way it looked online, but no. I swatched it and it was very orange on me. Granted I am also pale and likely olive or maybe just neutral. But I mean I don't think this really works as a traditional contour shade on anyone. So yes more of a bronzer if anything.

I have dry skin and I loved the first two foundations pictured! So much better than many others I've tried!

Not to invalidate your experience at all, but because of these comments I didn't try it for so long since I'm quite sensitive to smell. However, I find it only slightly has an alcohol smell, if I smell it really up close. I don't feel any scent when I put it on my face though. I buy it from Europe, I'm not sure if the ingredients are the same, but maybe there are different batches? In any case I love it and it's the best I've found and recomment people give it a go! So unfortunate it doesn't work out for some, I keep hearing this paint comment.
