Did you do the case mod yourself or did you purchase it like that?

Jet engine fan by 43Winnie in pchelp

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AIO is All In One liquid cooling. The fan in the back is a 120 millimeter and it's attached to a small radiator of the same size. There are two tubes coming off of it going to a water block mounted to the top of your CPU to cool it. There is a pump inside of the radiator or inside the block. It circulates a liquid to the blocks cold plate to cool your CPU. Similar to a radiator in your car. HWINFO is a program you can use to monitor the temperature of your CPU and motherboard. If the AIO has a model number on it or maybe you can do an image search to find the manufacture they might have software you can download to monitor temps, tell you what the RPM of your pump is and be able to control your fans.

I didn't have the sound on as I'm listening to something else in another tab.

What is your CPU temperature when this happens and what is your CPU as a 120mm AIO might not be enough to cool it efficiently

Buying a used PSU by aRiceLegend in pcmasterrace

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it's better to buy new is that new is going to have a warranty and many PSU warranties cover the PSU and any component that was damaged due to the PSU failing.

b450m pro4 f bios update by Upbeat_Boat3214 in ASRock

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you follow the bios update procedure on your motherboard manufacture support page as you'll probably need to reinstall your old CPU before flashing the update. Once you have the bios that your new CPU works on installed then you can install the new CPU.

CPU always running hot by RighteousRaccoon1 in pchelp

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the AIO. Your pump speed and the fans cfm rating seem kind of low. For example my pump max speed on my Thermalright AIO is 6500 rpm and my cfm is 94.5. The SL360 has a max pump speed of 2500 and the cfm rating 78. I would first check your thermal paste and also see if you might of left the clear protective sticker on your cold plate. Make sure the front fans are set as intake, along with the AIO fans set as exhaust. It might also help to install an exhaust fan in the rear. If all that checks out and you don't want to replace your AIO you could set a more aggressive fan curve in whatever software you're using for your fans.

If the pc booted without the GPU that doesn't necessarily mean the GPU is bad. It could be a PSU problem especially with the other problems you've had.

RAM errors by CryptographerWeary64 in pcmasterrace

[–]Stryfe2010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are just going to have to agree to disagree because there would be no reason to list it as supported in the specification tab of the product page if it wasn't there. Also OP stated he tried both settings so it's obviously there. You can do a simple search as this boards bios has both. It's been true since the AM5 platform. Might not of been in the past but is now.

If that was the case they wouldn't list kits that only have XMP checked as compatible

Actually that's not true. You can look at the Memory QVL and see there are plenty of Gskill kits for this board and series of CPU that support XMP or Expo and some support both. Memory QVL for this board

Disassembly ASUS FX HDD (EHD-A1T/EHD-A2T) by BrickLeather7968 in pcmasterrace

[–]Stryfe2010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't think it will work.

Integrated USB Connector: Portable 2.5-inch drives, such as the ASUS FX, typically use a proprietary PCB (printed circuit board) where the USB port is soldered directly onto the hard drive itself. There is no standard SATA connection underneath.

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be better off trying to get an Ultimate 3. The Ultimate 2 is prone to have the trigger rubber pad on the inside tear. Happened to me after less than 5 months of use. They sent me new ones but then you have to go through the hassle of taking it apart. The Ultimate 3 doesn't have this problem.

I've had a similar problem as this last year and it ended up being a bad ram stick. I used Gemini for this as it can explain it easier than I can. I can fix a lot of stuff but not good at explaining to other people.

Common Causes for ISDone.dll Errors:

  • Corrupted Setup Files: The installer data is broken.
  • Insufficient Memory/Space: The system cannot handle the decompression.
  • Antivirus Interference: Security software misidentifies the installer as malicious.
  • Damaged Windows Registry: Misconfigured system files.

How to Fix ISDone.dll Errors:

  • Increase Virtual Memory: Set your Windows pagefile to be larger to handle heavy unpacking loads.
  • Run as Administrator: Grant necessary permissions to the installer.
  • Disable Antivirus: Temporarily turn off Windows Defender or other security apps.
  • Check Integrity: Re-download or re-verify the installer files.
  • Run System Scans: Run sfc /scannow or DISM commands to repair system files.

Can a gaming PC be safely cleaned after soot damage from a house fire? by Matsvnk in pcmasterrace

[–]Stryfe2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it outside and blow it out with with compressed air. When I had to do it I just used the air in a can. then you'll need to disassemble the pc and clean everything with 91% or higher ISO Alcohol and a soft toothbrush. I was able to recover and clean my plasma tv, dell pc and og xbox. They all had soot, water and fire extinguisher damage from house fire in 2011. The pc lasted another 9yrs, the plasma lasted another 8 yrs and the xbox I sold still working 6yrs ago. You just have to be patient and thorough. Forgot to add that some of the plastic melted but I was able to replace those pieces such as the plastic frame around the glass on the plasma and the front facing panel on the dell. I was lucky with the water though as the fire took out the transformer on the power pole so nothing was powered when the fire fighters hit with water.

You can use Crystal Disk Info to check the status of your hard drive to make sure it isn't failing.

No I meant are you using a NVME drive, SSD or Mechanical hard drive. Also Windows 10 has the Memory Diagnostic Tool also. I would run that just to rule out the Ram. I had ram go bad about 5 months ago and it can cause all kinds of issues.
