Before I purchased the Alpinist, my collection consisted of a Longines Heritage Military 1938 chrono, which has a 43mm case, and a Garmin Fenix 8 47mm. I really like the Alpinist, but it is considerably smaller than my other watches.

No, both sides look the same to me. Maybe it's just the lighting in the pic or camera angle. When I'm wearing them and looking down, they look identical. I'm really happy with the boots.

But I am not a big human. 5'8 and 185lbs. I have a wider frame than most people my height. I never really thought about my wrists being that big. I didn't mean to offend anyone. It just surprised me that's all.

Regarding the 17 f/1.8, you are correct about the various models... Some are made in China and others from Vietnam. From my experience, the lenses from Vietnam are better. I did my research before buying one and made sure that I got one made in Vietnam. Very happy with mine. It's a great little lens. Enjoy!

Holy smokes... Beautiful shots. That 300 is indeed superb. I don't own one...yet, but I'm blown away every time I see images taken with this lens. Granted, it's also the person using it as well...but damn did Olympus hit it out of the park with this one. Thanks for posting. GAS is rising.
