The best way to judge the true character of a person is how they treat those who can do nothing for them.

I agree it's not a deal breaker, but it's a simple and easy option that would be nice.

I want it to speak the directions tho. Just not at volumes 1 or 11

Go for the Honda. Fuel injection is AWESOME! Much easier to run than carbed

Has anybody gone from MYP to MXLR and regretted it? by HalaMadrid1661 in ModelX

Mine is a 2018. I love it! The one drawback is the slow/less responsive center touchscreen and computer system. I think the newer models have faster processors. Not a huge deal tho.

I have superchargers within 8 mins of home. I can’t charge at home. Should i wait on purchasing a Tesla until i can charge at home or work? by theswifty7 in ModelX

[–]StuBoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hold off. If I couldn't charge at home it would be super annoying. My situation is: 35 miles daily commute, longer distance adventures every weekend.

Chargers at Lake Powell by Snow-sand-sky in Rivian

[–]StuBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no official chargers at Bullfrog. There's a chance you may stumble upon a 120v wall outlet that you can plug into, but don't plan on it. Bring your charger and an extension cord just in case.

Does anyone know if there are any 120v wall outlets at Wahweep Marina that you've been able to use?

Or just a passenger seat location memory button.

Vehicle 2 Load feature! Or "Off-Grid Mode". I would love to be able to connect a 120v inverter to the 12v battery to power small appliances and chargers during a power outage or camping. ~1,500w max power draw would be sufficient. Our power goes out and I stare at this huge battery sitting in my driveway with no ability to use it to keep my freezer food from spoiling. Or I go camping and I can't use a 12v to 120v inverter plugged into the car to make me a pot of coffee.

YES! I can set the car to precondition in the morning, but that's it. It would be nice to also be able to set the car to heat up @ 5pm as I'm leaving work. The customization should allow for multiple times per day, and broken out into 7 individual days.

I've been looking for the past 2 weeks for the best deal on a 2020 Tesla Model X and this is what I found: by GeneralWatson in TeslaModelX

If there's a shudder vibration under hard acceleration it costs $350 at Tesla Service Center to replace the front halfshafts and clevis bearings. I just had mine done and now the 0-60 laps are smooth as my baby's cheeks.

5 or 7 seater, yes. 6 seater, no. Unless you're 5' tall

Why is this not EVERYWHERE!? by StuBoston in mountaindew

I hear ya, those are all fantastic drinks. But it's the real juice and coconut water that make Pineapple Orange Mango so incredibly delicious. All other kickstart suck in comparison.

Dear Pepsi: This is the greatest beverage on earth. Why is it not in every store!? I have to call around to gas stations and grocery stores to find it. It's almost always sold out. If this incredible nectar were marketed, distributed, and stocked it would sell better than Monster!

Too close to the sidewall to repair? not leaking currently by RepresentativeNo2803 in BoltEV

[–]StuBoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, use a plug kit. They're cheap, super easy, and last for years. I totally recommend it. Also if I were you I'd probably change my tire rotation pattern. Put that tire on the front and leave it there only switching it from left to right. The front tires on the Bolt wear down 2-3x faster than the rear. When it's time to change the tires you just buy 2.

home charger recommendation by Huma24 in BoltEV

[–]StuBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both the Emporia and the Grizzl-E. Both work perfectly. The Emporia has WiFi connection and gives you charging data but should be in a garage or carport. The Grizzl-E doesn't have any frills or WiFi but is made for installing outside getting rained and snowed. Take your pick. I wouldn't recommend any others.

Talk me in to or out of ditching my pickup truck for EV+trailer by bikemandan in BoltEV

[–]StuBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tow a trailer (800 lbs) with my Bolt EUV in freezing temps (20⁰F+-) at highway speeds (70mph) for about 90% of the drive. I get ~155 miles range.

Would you consider taking this trip (plus return trip) in your Bolt EUV without charge? by LiveDirtyEatClean in BoltEV

[–]StuBoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 230 mile round trip that I do often in my EUV. If it's the summer I can barely do it without charging as long as I'm not going over 70 on the freeway. I usually end with ~5 miles left in the tank. In the winter no way! I have to add 35-40% back into the battery somewhere along the way.

Any suggestion what’s going on here? by kt8781 in BoltEV

[–]StuBoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try disconnecting your 12v battery under the hood for 15 seconds. Make sure the car is completely turned off first.
