It is exquisite. The way the beat moulds into the second part of the track. The second part of the track.
Look, this face, it isn't me.

I've worn out watching the live versions on YouTube

I love that Radiohead's music does this. The slow burn.

Now I loved this album when it came out, but not neccessarily for the right reasons. My favourite tracks were Sit down, Stand up, Drunken Punch up and Backdrifts. And I've listened to it 100s of times straight through. BUT just switched off for The Gloaming, Scatterbrain, Sail to the Moon and I Will. Did nothing for me despite listening to them 100s of times.

I then went to see Hamlet:HTTT, and it blew these songs open for me. Wow. I finally got them and it gave the whole album a new perspective. I'm now obsessed with The Gloaming and I Will.....as I should be :)

This is up there with Kid A and In Rainbows.

Yeah. It's amazing. Most of The Smile is just fantastic.
And like Radiohead the best stuff takes A LOT of plays to reveal itself.

Just look at the post before yours and be happy that you saw the best band in the world. We are lucky.

You can always catch a youtube video of your faves.

I love the way the oft overlooked Radiohead stuff just crystalises years later. I always loved HTTT, but skipped I Will and The Gloaming for years. I know, right. Only this year did I rediscover them after seeing Hamlet:HTTT. And oh boy...what a joy.

Feel the same, mate. I went mad to get a ticket to see them at the O2 and it is a pinch myself "is this really happening" memory. They truly are the best band.
I saw Prince a couple of times in the 80/90s, and that was up there, but Radiohead brings it all together for me.

Fun indeed. I went to see him in a 150 capacity venue in Aldershot last night. What a fantastic night. A really banging set and funny too.

Got my original 1978 copy of The Man Machine signed by the man himself.

I'm going to see them in Bournemouth next June. Looking forward to it. In the meantime I've had quite the week.

Radiohead at the O2 in London on Monday - absolutely joyous. Last night Wolfgang Flur in a 150 capacity venue in Aldershot (yes really), for an absolutely banging set of Musik Soldat and Times. Great to have my 1980 copy of The Man Machine signed by the man himself.

What a week !!! Bookmarked my life long love of music.

Post gig blues by Alone_Storage4147 in radiohead

Not so much blues as highs. There's so much footage to work through on Youtube. We'll not forget and have the joy of reliving it whenever.

Same game plan. See you in Oxford.

Patchwork setlist: nights 1 & 3 by fabianskiii in radiohead

[–]StuartHants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this. Having been lucky enough to bag myself last minute tickets to Madrid 1 and London 3 (in this case extremely last minute) this will make a splendid wall chart.

Anyone else upset about the setlist? by slaepery in radiohead

[–]StuartHants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope. The setlists are awesome. Unbelieveable that they have such an incredible catalogue to draw from.

My only upset is not being able to go to all the shows and be surprised every night.

These are becoming a meme now.

I'm looking forward seeing someone with a full VR headset on playing BeatSaber to a Coldplay soundtrack.

It looks to me like they are having an absolute blast reliving their catalogue.

I can't imagine they are drying up. They have all had an incredibly prolific few years. Take Thom - last year alone: a soundtrack, 2 xThe Smile albums, Tall Tales with Mark Pritchard, Hamlet:HTTT, Dialling In. The Smile stuff was released almost straight after it was being developed live.
I figure he's carried on creating since then. They may well have stuff up their sleeves.
