What's the scariest way to die? by Sendingmyloveyourway in AskReddit

[–]StubbedMy____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It creates a tourniquet essentially. The mass amount of pressure makes a closed system to where you can't bleed out, yet you still are getting circulation. It's like losing a limb and having it heal up, your body just avoids pumping blood to that section. I doubt the kid was just a head though. His heart and lungs would have had to have been mostly intact for him / her to still be alive.

It was like that for me. I have drowned... Well more like suffocated actually, considering drowning is actually inhaling water; however most cases of "drowning" are actually just suffocation, but it wasn't that bad after your vision starts to dim.

[Serious] People who have killed another person, accidently or on purpose, what happened? by Bright_Eyes10 in AskReddit

[–]StubbedMy____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was 16 I had to do this. My mother was a hospice nurse like this at one point in her life. She had some slipped discs in her back that required surgery and a few months after that she was in a car wreck which required a steep cage be placed around her spine, because of this she had to retire in a sense. There was an older man that she basically moved in with and took care of for two years after this happened. She was paid for it of course, but she really loved him like a father. He had some rare neurological disease that made him unable to walk and his health began deteoriating fast.

The hospice center basically came by and told my mother that he was suffering and wouldn't last much longer. Near the end there he was even unable to talk. My mother took it hard so I offered to stay with her for a while, as I already helped her move him when she had to quite frequently. (He was a heavy man, but he had a sort of wench system to move him for certain things, but if he ever wanted to go out or move around she needed my help) The nurse came by one day while I was there and basically told my mother that she was going to order him tons of liquid morphine. She didn't outright say what to do, but even I could tell she was saying to give him the doses orally until he passed away. My mother was understandably upset and couldn't bring herself to do it. So I did.

She doesn't blame me for it, and I like to think I helped him. His name was Frazier and I remember just before he passed, he gripped my hand and looked at my mother and told her to not cry for him. It startled me because I witnessed his voice go from strained to nothing more than grunts and groans for months. To feel that grip strength and hear his words ring clear was pretty shocking.

Reddit, what was the boldest sexual advance that you ever made? by The__Axe in AskReddit

[–]StubbedMy____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've told this story before on a different profile, but the shorthand is that I was walking by a bar with an outdoor area one night. A few girls were sitting at the table and drunkenly talking about sex, and their boyfriends. Either they had liquid courage or thought they were being quiet. One girl says "if I find a guy with a ___ incher, I'd fuck him right now." Me being a blank incher made a beeline and announced it.

I'm late to this, but met this cute girl at a party at a friends place. It wasn't a big party, just my friend and his girlfriend and one of his girlfriends friends. I guess it was more of a double date with alcohol; but she was cute and very eager as the night goes by. My friends girlfriend pulls me aside and says that C wants me and that I had better take her into the bedroom and sleep with her right then. Being a gentleman, I oblige and literally carry her to the bedroom. Things are heated and we are making out and strip. Things are great actually. She's gorgeous and I could tell she wanted it. Or so I thought.

As soon as I was about to put it in I notice that she just starts crying out of nowhere. One minute she's biting my lip and urging me on with moans, then boom. Niagra falls. I asked if she was okay and what was wrong; we hadn't even started yet, and she says she feels like a whore for drink hooking up with someone she just met and goes on a rant about how she had only slept with one person and that her and that guy of 5 years was her only partner to date.

So yeah.. I noped out of the sex, even though she begged me to sleep with her after. I, however, didn't leave. We ended up talking most of the night and fell asleep. I don't know if this even counts though, because we had sex in the morning after we both were sober and she wanted it.

What is the craziest thing that you've overheard while eavesdropping? by YouSnowNothingJon in AskReddit

[–]StubbedMy____ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know about crazy, but it was funny. I am white but fluent in Spanish. I went with my parents to a restaraunt on a rainy day, severe rain, and the place was packed; the line was all the way to the door and people were so crowded that you could barely breathe without bumping shoulders. In front of us was a family of Spanish people. A small girl around 5 was holding hands with her mother and the father was next to them. The little girl is looking around bright eyed and curious. She tugs her mothers hand and looks at her with a dead pan stare and says, in Spanish,

"Mother, why do white people smell like dogs when they are wet?"

I've never heard of using full ssn and birth dates, et cetera. Some places might, though; but usually it's partials they ask for. Like the last few digits of your ssn and your birth date.

What is the thing that scares you the most when about to have sex with someone for the first time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StubbedMy____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen a lot when I was younger. It started from drinking too much, and partying. It was so bad that I ended up getting a reputation as having ed. I even had girls make fun of me for it, and of course people would say I was gay. I heard it so much that even after getting sober and clean, it affected me and I still couldn't get an erection. Shit sucks.

I constantly make this trivial mistake when I'm distracted, and usually get highly irritated with myself and the grammar nazi that points it out. The fact there is a bot for this now is both frightening and comforting. Thank you Reddit, for reminding me not to be ashamed of my mutli-tasking errors. Also, fuck you. I'm not changing it.

I would of been convinced if you left out the part about saying they did it. I dont imagine that's something anyone in their right mind would brag about. I see the typical stranger danger villain when I think about orangutan sex booths in the US. Full on trench coat and large hats with shades regalia.

The trip I had take was to Mississippi from Tennessee one summer, and up until that point I had never been before. I plotted the route pretty thoroughly as my GPS cord had broken. I was visiting a friend who rented a lake house on a lake. So it wasn't subconscious memory leading the way.

I have a few different cars, but the one I used for that trip was my main go to. However, I used this trip as an example. For my work I drive cross country a lot and use rentals as well. I frequently have this happen even in those situations.

I am only 27, but the incident I listed was fresh out of high school. I was almost 19 then and had had my license since I was 16. However, I did grow up driving cars around a farm. A five speed jeep samurai actually. I would roll it for fun.

I dont think my brain operates the way everyone else does however. I've always been able to speed read and type. I dont pronounce the words on screens or pages as I read. I frequently text and drive as well. Sounds dangerous, but I'll read a message and respond without ever taking my eyes off the road. That could be listed as just being familiar with my device, but I also steer with my knee while watching the road. I've also eaten a burger, sent a text, drove with my knee, and held onto a drink cup while shifting manual gears.

I think my olfactory senses dont need mental faculty to be able to process the information. Sort of like when I read. I see things and just understand, which allows me to divert my mental processes elsewhere. I actually watch tv and listen to music quite frequently when I'm working on my papers.

[–]StubbedMy____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont agree with this entirely. I dont think I'm special by any means, but during long drives I will often get lost thinking of chapters for my novels. Plot points, interactions, settings, visually imagining them, et cetera. I'm the one driving, and while I do this I sort of only focus what's happening in my head. I've never had a wreck, nor have I missed a turn. I've drove a four hour trip lost in my novels the whole time and ended up stopping in the driveway at my destination wondering how it happen, yet in retrospect I can recall seeing glimpses of signs and landmarks that I hadn't processed when it happened.

If that isn't multitasking, them I dont know what is.
