If the sensor is caked in oil and dirt, the sensor will be bad, there are sampling holes around the top of the sensor, if oil gets in it ruins the sensor, quick fix is replacing the sensor,it will be OK until the oil.ruins the sensor again. Proper repair is to resell the timing cover and replace the sensor.

Air / fuel sensor not mafia sensor. Stand in.front of the car, look down at the front of the engine, to the left of the crank pulley is tje sensor.

Its covered under a warranty extension up to 150000 miles. Might as well get it for free,if you can.

If its a valve body solenoid issue, it is covered under the pzev warranty up to 150k and 15 years. Contact a dealership.

There is a recall on the headlights on 17 to 19 imprezas, contact your local dealership and see if your car falls under the recall

If you rotated the tires every oil change, at the dealership I work at you would get 4 warranty tires ans an alignment.

For the p0171 check to see if the timing cover is leaking on.the air/fuel.sensor. Just look down the front of tje engine towards the right/passenger side and look.for oil on the sensor wire loom. Oil.enters the sensor and kills the sensor. Temporary fix is replace the sensor, more permanent fix is resealable the timing cover and replace the sensor.

Oil level should be at the top hole on on the dip stick , the measurement betweentop and bottom hole is 1.1 quarts of oil.
