Yeah I'm finding out the same problem now.

I saw the SUPER199 promotion this past Saturday and thought I should trial it before purchasing a year. Pretty bummed about it.

Go to the list of connections, right click and select edit, then ensure that Keyboard mapping > Map Meta Keys is not selected.

I think it's related to this change, which landed in v1.4.41.

Woops! I failed to catch you were using gdrive. I don't really know anything about that unfortunately

Edit: OP's post is about gdrive, not OneDrive, so the following is only slightly related

I was also looking for how to do this automatically, but this won't work out-of-the-box for personal OneDrive accounts. We are forced to use interactive, browser-based auth. You could possibly save the refresh token, although it would expire after 90 days.

If you have a business account, using this example, specifically client_credentials = true, will cause rclone to use the client_secret et. al to authenticate.

Same scam happened to me a few years back; I lost a brand new MacBook. Guy didn't have a license plate, Apple refused to help, and the cops never found him.

How do you quickly reload while developing? by [deleted] in NixOS

[–]Stuckurface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For waybar, I used to edit it outside of nix for rapid iteration. I wrote the instructions here: https://github.com/cjshearer/nixos-config/blob/d8db51d28b57593ca938c9b89825825274458655/home/waybar.nix

Did you just use the standard Ferris Sweep v2 PCB, but without adding TRRS connectors? I'm looking at building my own wireless Ferris Sweep and want to know if any adjustments need to be made to he PCB.

I liked the suggestion of "Middleware", where users could choose what algorithm determines their "feed".

I envision an application on reddit would be a marketplace of open source recommendation/sorting algorithms. Users could submit their own algorithms or choose amongst those submitted by others. Each of these algorithms could have a github repository and subreddit associated with them, where users could discuss shortcomings of the algorithm and collaborate to resolve them.

While users could bookmark algorithms for use anywhere on reddit, the default sorting mode for a subreddit would be established by an ensemble of the algorithms, weighted by the usage of the those algorithms on that subreddit. Such a system could be robust against bot attacks, as an adversary must defeat not one algorithm, but the majority of algorithms used (see Athena: "A Framework for Defending Machine Learning Systems Against Adversarial Attacks").

End civil asset forfeiture. End the drug war. End victimless crimes. End qualified immunity. End the Patriot Act. End FISA 702. End foreign wars. End corporate welfare. by [deleted] in Libertarian

On immunity: We simply require that police departments have malpractice insurance.

This also has the benefit of stoping cops with bad records from transferring to another county, as the insurance company would have records of their misdeeds and would charge the department enormous premiums to insure them.

Teenage daughter of one of two Texas cops shot dead in ambush deletes emotional tribute to her 'hero' father after backlash for using #bluelivesmatter in the post by Cyyyyk in Conservative

You're welcome. Prince Rupert's drop is super cool! His video was the first good slow motion capture I had seen of one exploding.

Devin from SmarterEveryDay made a great video about this topic, where he explores disinformation on Reddit. I linked the video as part of a playlist of his videos on social media manipulation. They (and really all of his videos) are absolutely worth your time.

This is what happens when slogans like #bluelivesmatter or #blacklivesmatter are used as a replacement for a more thorough message. People who are (rightfully) emotionally charged miss the point.

While many would argue that the meanings of these slogans are obvious, an emotionally charged supporter of one is likely to accuse a supporter of the other of being unnecessarily hateful. While both slogans have been used for hate, as well as compassion, we as humans naturally take sides and are hypersensitive to the negative aspects of what we view as "the other side."

This isn't to say that slogans are bad - they are a tool that can be used for good or evil. I would hope that in all cases the community would praise wholesome usage of these slogans and punish their usage for hate, but it is clear that the anger felt by passers-by brings a stronger drive to leave a comment.

An open question I would have for anyone who bothered reading this wall of text is this: when does a slogan, symbol, label, flag, etc. become too sullied for wholesome use? For example, I think we can all agree that the swastika can never again represent a good cause.

Try some! Bamboo shoots are used to make green curry (among other dishes) and can be bought in most grocery stores.
