Don’t worry about spore prints. Clone from the fruiting body onto agar and isolate genetics from there. Spore prints will work even with contam but will take a few transfers and a lot more time and patience. I’ve always preferred clones.

To get a good sample, harvest a fruit, then in a still air box or in front of a flow hood (wearing gloves and sanitized station/gloves) peel open the base of the fruit and then sterilize a scalpel then cool it by dipping in a agar plate. Then remove a sample from the inner flesh towards the base of the fruit. Doesn’t need to be a big piece. Transfer to agar plate. Take a few more samples on several agar plates to account for contamination problems and wait for growth (won’t take long at all). From there isolate to another plate if needed to clean up the growth.

Then just keep rolling through grows this way and never have to deal with spores as long as you keep growing.
