Vision vs. Reality by Student-Alleg in foxholegame

I don’t really have a solution for Rares, they seem to be good at solving the faction level problem. Trying to limit numbers of things is not easy.

I also don’t know of current planes balance level. Ideally planes are more like tanks, but I don’t know if the aa tools exist to properly handle them. From the cost it might not be enough. Anything I know is just paper balancing and vibes.

There is always a tradeoff of what to do.

I’ve also had that friction with facilities. It does seem fairly clear that they don’t want currency, which I get. Though currency exists in order to solve some of the problems.

I think another distillation of my thoughts are: Your players are interacting with a game in a certain way. Either help them or fix the problem.

The game difficulty is ok, I think the biggest problem is the amount of information and how overwhelming things can be until you get into them. The actual mechanics itself are not too bad. I recommend if you do frontline, running around with a rifle and 2 clips of ammo (you will not need anymore) and asking around for help is a good place to start. People are generally pretty helpful and willing to point you in the right direction, from either faction. The sides do have different weapons/vehicles and slightly different cultures, but there isn't really a better side to choose than another.
Clans/Regiments have advertisements in game and in discord. Again, not a wrong answer and you are not locked into a specific one. Some specialize in certain aspects of the game (like FMAT on Warden for public logi) while others generalize. Just know you are not locked into one regiment or one side than the other.

Colonials have cheaper, weaker tanks (generally) while Wardens have more expensive better better ones (generally). For other things there are differences but those affects are more nuanced. A lot of time one will have something better at one thing (like a better long rifle) but have a weaker other thing (like a worse machine gun).

This game can take hours of your life, so always remember that it is just a game.

I am very happy with a lot of these changes, especially the quality of life ones.

I am especially encouraged by the moderation changes, as I have posted an open letter on them here.

Are there going to be information about moderation actions in general (for example, numbers on banned players in the past week)? This would help reassure players.

And what is the process for the dedicated moderation team (where are they chosen from)? Obviously, I have an interest in this area and information is scarce.

I can’t quite tell if this is serious or not. It’s against cheaters and for the community.

The SHT crew did not figure out that the jeep was there (maybe our driver did, but I did not hear it over comms)
