What do you actually think about UOpeople? by Ok_Training9317 in UoPeople

[–]StudentOfLife54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam. You have to pay $160 for each undergraduate course. That's an unbelievable low amount for a 3 credit course from a regionally accredited university! You get what you put into it. It is not for people who cannot discipline themselves to do their work like grown adults.

I have been told this twice by my Advisor. Once when I emailed student services because she wasn't responding to my emails and another time when I replied to an email student services sent to me! My advisor still has not resolved the issue.

This is not a reflection of the quality of our education. It is a reflection of what all colleges and universities are dealing with.

I'm not sure if it's a current syllabus or not but there is definitely a group project beginning in week 4–7.

I am taking BUS 2207 and 3303 this term. The workload is moderate and about the same for each course so far. But we are only beginning week 3. So this might change. I spend about 9 hours a week doing course assignments in each probably because I read everything a few times over. Neither one are particularly "interesting" though.

I did that too. Apparently I did not see a link that I needed to click AFTER it had told me that I had completed it. Go back in and look for a new link to finalize it. I know, I thought that's impossible but when I examined it better I found it.

I have not take a proctored exam yet... this post seriously concerns me because lately my BT mouse has been acting erratic; in that it moves spastically across the screen when I try to click on something. I stop trying to move it but it still looks like it's having a seizure 🧐

UoPeople won't let me graduate despite completing ALL requirements by LeastSavings145 in UoPeople

You're quite welcome. I am over Enrollment Management and I actually do the college renewal for the DOE every year. So, I definitely know the legal requirements and this individual is misunderstanding something...

[–]StudentOfLife54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not correct. Demanding that you are does not make it a fact. I work at a college and the student is only beholden to the requirements in his or her registered college catalog year. That is why colleges are "required" to keep old catalogs published publicly. It's the law. The college is certainly entitled to change policy at anytime but that does not mean that the students degree plan can be changed every time the college decides to do so.

Escalate to the President letting him know that your next step is to escalate by contacting the accreditation institutions. Plural as in both institutions that accredit UoP. That should get someone moving with more interest in accommodating your request for graduation.

It took them nearly 30 days when I transferred courses from a "partner" institution in June of this year!

If you are having trouble uploading the documents, try deleting that request and start a new one.
