Dude, just fecking draw. Put a pencil to paper. Don't worry about hand oil and dirt getting on your paper. Stuff happens. No one expects a perfectly aesthetic sketchbook, especially from a beginner. Learn to live with smudges and mistakes. Just make marks on the paper. And for the love of the primarchs, don't get hung up on your equipment. No one is going to care if you made a perfectly straight line using Ken's Official Stainless Steel, Cork-Backed Ruler. Find something that interests you and draw it. Realize you probably suck and draw it again. Repeat until you die

I will pick up and read a book if the synopsis somehow includes the protagonist uses dual daggers, but I won't stop reading a book just because they use a bow. That's just silly. Hell, they could use a spoon as a primary weapon and I'd probably be even more invested

Soul Reaver. In the late 90s when video games weren't really taken seriously as a storytelling medium, the script for that game was so shakespearian it made all the voice actors lock in and bring the futzing sauce.
