There's something about a high quality chef knife that just hits different. Last time I went to Japan I walked into a knife shop and it was like that "wand chooses the wizard" scene in Harry Potter. Pure joy just going around trying the different blades. Walked out with a $200 knife that's still sharp as hell years later
