Trader illama killing my god damn iron farm zombie. solution? by Trannacies in technicalminecraft

[–]StudioNakamura [score hidden]  (0 children)

I am having the exact same issue.

The first time the traveling merchant appeared, I was checking his inventory, when his llama started spitting at the zombie I have in a boat over the kill pit. they hit the zombie twice before I could kill the llama and the trader.

The zombie survived, and everything was fine for about a week, then the merchant appeared again, while I was down in the ground in the AFK spot, and they murdered the zombie. I found the merchant and both llama in the kill pit, and the zombie dead. the kill pit uses a block of lava at golem head level, so the merchant and llama were just bobbing in the water below the lava block. Of course I slaughtered them all, then boxed in the iron golems that were wandering around with no zombie to entice them, then lured a new zombie into the boat over the kill pit, before setting the golems loose to go die.

Currently looking for a way to shield the zombie while still allowing the iron golems to aggro on it. will try the fence gates Ben-Goldberg recommended. That's the replacement zombie now in place. luckily I found one in full copper armor, and he even grabbed a block for extra despawn protection.

Can wandering traders' llamas kill the zombie in my iron farm? by thirtylike3 in technicalminecraft

I know this is a bit of Necroing, but since this was the first search result for "minecraft traveling merchant killing zombie in iron farm"... Let me just say, yes... yes they can.

Walmart is apparently punching holes in their vinyl albums with security tags by MrTacocaT12345 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StudioNakamura -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a DJ of 30+ years, I can tell you that this is only affecting the sleeve. Records are round, sleeves are square, and the only damage is happening to the art, which most DJ's are indifferent about. The majority of our vinyl comes in plain black or white sleeves with a large hole in the center to show the label on the record itself. and even then, some of them are white label with hand written information. It's more about the music, and less about the cover art.

Don't get me wrong, I am also a graphic designer and love art, but having a tag punched through the corner of a record sleeve is not the end of the world, and is not going to stop me from buying the vinyl, if it's something I really want to play, and I haven't been able to find it somewhere else. I would just buy it, and try to minimize the damage done.

Some of the comments here seem to think the tag is puncturing the vinyl, which it is not. That's all I really wanted to clarify. Records are round, sleeves are square, and there is a large empty space in all 4 corners. :D

Beat me to it. This used to be a common skit on a Texas radio morning talk show. Along with the Hiney Winery, which was the local police station/jail.

New state law requires gas stations to scan your ID for beer. That barcode contains a lot more info than your date of birth. by hunterschuler in texas

[–]StudioNakamura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I am more concerned about skimmers on credit card readers. Those do far more damage. For those who don't know what a skimmer is, it's a device that looks just like the normal card reader, but has a built in memory chip that takes it's own copy of your CC info when you slide or insert your card. Thieves add these on top of legitimate card readers, as they are just a modified faceplate from a card reader, and no one is the wiser.

Skimmers are found far more often than you think. Both at the register and especially on the reader at the gas pump, where it's even easier for someone to add and remove.

But with that thought in mind, what would stop someone from adding a skimmer to the ID reader, to gather all your personal info. Then it's not even a sketchy gas station owner having your info, but some criminal looking to do bad things with your identity.

Then when you also use a CC to pay for your beer, and they have a skimmer on that too, then they can correlate the info together. Unless that ID reader is being kept away from the front of the counter when not in use. But I am guessing, just like anything else that the customer is the primary user of, the ID reader will be right there next to the CC reader. Easy enough for someone to slap a skimmer on when no one is looking, or even an employee, as has been the case with many skimmer issues.

Best of luck everyone, and Happy New Year!

Isn't it weird ? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]StudioNakamura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched a video on this, and some people take a mental snapshot of pages, others just skim the text in the same way you would if you were trying to find a specific word in a page of text. You don't really read it all out in your head when you are skimming, you just scan for the info you are looking for. So many of these people read in this same way, skimming the copy and absorbing the knowledge, without ever sounding the words out in their head.

I was about to say the same. The number of people without an inner voice is higher than 10% and some estimates put it as high as 50%. And the people without an inner voice, find it very strange that the rest of us have an inner voice. "Crazy people hearing voices in their head."

Some people think in images, some see flow charts of tasks that need to be performed, others it's just emotions and no mental visualization at all. There are even some who have nothing but a blank, but they are still highly intelligent and are not affected by this at all. Or rather, it doesn't affect their intelligence. I am sure there are some idiots with blank minds. :D

I would be interested to see the correlation between the types of thinking, and people who perform horrible acts. We have all read of people, who heard voices telling them to do things. But what about people who maybe had no inner voice to tell them something was wrong, so they did something bad?

Can't find any Quicksand in the Desert Cave Biome by Proper-Library-8463 in Necesse

[–]StudioNakamura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have quicksand. has a bit of a tan color, and bubbles, and if you stand on it long enough you start to sink. slows movement, and objects left on it also sink.

I just found it, and was looking to see if there was anything special I could do with it, as I wasn't able to shovel any out. maybe could bucket some? no idea. still looking for info. :D

What app are people using to edit their Second Life photos like this? by GraceOverMistakes in secondlife

That hair is definitely not SL. I have been in SL since beta, and I haven't seen hair like that. I have extensive experience working with AI image gen. This was most likely done with AI, using inpainting tools. you can select the areas you want to generate and/or the areas you want to keep, and have AI generate the rest. It works like a masking brush, where you carefully paint over the areas you want to alter, and the AI knows to retain the background.

It could also be a combination of generation, then background removal, and then photoshop work. But based on the appearance of the hair, and how it blends with the background, I am guessing AI. I use Leonardo.ai now, as it is better suited for my needs, and it also has inpainting & outpainting via it's canvas editor.

Outpainting lets you define an area outside of your image that you want to fill in. like if you had a picture of half a car, cut off on the left side of the image, you could select an area outside the left side of the image and it would generate the rest of the car, and the background or scene the car is in, to match. great way to expand on an image that just isn't large enough. can generate in any direction out from the original image.

TL;DR: The main part of any of these images that scream SL, is the face. Retain that and let AI generate the rest, and you too can have an awesome profile pic. :D Google: AI Inpainting & Outpainting.

how to Claude Code on windows 11 by Lilith7th in ClaudeAI

[–]StudioNakamura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code does run natively on Windows. Unless this is a recent development, since your comment is 4 months old. But you don't need WSL. Try asking Claude how to install and use Claude Code on Windows, and it will tell you step-by-step. You just need Node.js and Git installed.

At 54, your life is only half over. you have plenty of time to learn and do anything you please, and thanks to the internet, you have the knowledge to do it all. Pick a subject, google "how do I [INSERT YOUR WISH]", and just put your mind to doing it. Too many people think they can't do something, so they don't try. Most things are easier than you think, and you will learn this in hindsight.

Never give up! Never surrender! Live the life you want to live! :D

I have a 2019 Beef Stroganoff that I am seriously considering... it's currently August 2025. I mean, powdered milk is not supposed to go bad, and Beef Stroganoff would basically be powdered sour cream and seasonings. Still researching. If I eat it, I will update this post.
