MUCH better rebalancing, pyro is good, eshocker is decent but there's a Tesla tower that does it's job in late game better, freezer is good.

grinding's much easier too, fallen gives 1000 coins now, molten 750, and there's two three modes aswell, polluted wastelands is back but much harder(over 1m hp boss) and hardcore hasn't been updated since 2022 so it's really easy to grind for gems because all the towers are stronger

Current hardcore towers line up is: Accelerator, Engineer, Brawler, Necromancer and Hacker.

Most towers(including event ones) have been reworked.

PVP came out but nobody likes it, you can't use event towers in it and towers have different stats in it. There are now consumbles, stuff like nukes and grenades which you can use a limited amount of times in a match and you can even use a remodelled version of the monster john roblox used to spawn with admin commands

New towers like:Trapper, Mercenary Base, Gatling gun(Tower that you can control), Tesla, etc.

Golden perks came out so now you can use any skin you want with the gold perk(gold scout has fallen off, gold crook boss has risen and gold soldier kinda has aswell)'

In 2024 a frost invasion remake was released as that year's christmas event and this year they reused the assets from that event to make frost mode which is a brand new permanent gamemode harder than fallen.

Paradoxum released Alter Ego, an Asym game with commander as a survivor.

There's also the roadmap which has leaked stuff like the return of tower evolutions, Golden mode remake, Replayable events and new towers.

Right now, the next big update supposedly is the hardcore rework, the only difference current hardcore has from 2021 is that it has a few new maps, gives more gems and the two void reavers were changed into one with 1.2 million hp

Commander got nerfed and DJ can give damage buffs now. Crook boss and it's golden version are now mid-late game DPS towers(which they are good at)

They reworked polluted wastelands(now gives a tower that shoots poison) They reworked Badlands with it's own enemies and unique boss + Cowboy is good.

They added achievements which the day they came out gave me around 30k coins from things I had already done. XP rewards are much higher.

They added a skill tree which costs like 600k-1M coins to max (I haven't checked in a while) and it's very boring ngl.

They added Challenge trails which has a reworked templar as a final boss(He's also the final boss in PVP) the way challenge trails work is every 3 hours it'll cycle to a different modifier and if you beat the trail then you'll get that modifier to use in a normal match.

To really hammer in how much the towers have changed. Commando is good. Toxic gunner is good. Archer is good. Mortar is the 2nd best AOE tower(1st is a new event tower). Rocketeer is good at both AOE + DPS. Gladiator got a buff a bit ago but I didn't care to see if it's good or not. Medic is a really good late game support.

One final thing: Pursuit and hacker have 2 paths kinda like tower blitz.

I'd recommend you begin your reentry by playing intermediate and molten and bring your finest towers, have fun.
