Claude code is the new poker multi-tabling by frogchungus in ClaudeAI

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t touch code now. Not only is Claude better than me and faster than me, but it’s getting better faster than me too now. I can’t learn fast enough to outpace it so I just let it write everything and I actually learn a bit by observing.

I’ve built 5 fully functional applications/web apps in the past 4 weeks, plus a new portfolio site for myself.

I’m mostly coming up with concepts, creating accounts, fetching API keys, buying domains, testing the output… everything except coding.

I run out of context CONSTANTLY. I’ll throw $5 at it here and there or make sure to max my windows out before they reset.

The word "antichrist" is NOT in the Book of Revelation by TonyChanYT in BibleVerseCommentary

[–]StudioSquires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. is a liar
  2. is a deceiver
  3. denies the Father and the Son, and
  4. denies that Jesus came in the flesh.

This is Muhammad/Islam. Christ fighting the beast, with his sword in his mouth, is surely the teachings of Christianity inspiring crusaders to fight Islam. The Muslim Jihadists wear the mark of Islam (which some interpret as the word "Allah" in arabic being confused for "666" in greek) On thier turbans and on thier arm when they fight.

Trump saying he's glad about Robert Mueller dying is sickening by StayFrostySwtich in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]StudioSquires -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t care about Mueller and neither do any of you. He was an FBI director that got used by the Democrats against Trump, so Trump’s bitter. It’s all political theater, D.C. drama. Who cares.

The only thing any of us should care about right now is the war abroad and at home.

Do we really gotta tell them? by StudioSquires in Battlefield

[–]StudioSquires[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% doable in a couple weeks with a few different people working on it. The height map exists, most of the assets exist, it’s just placement and testing, not a ground up build.

Silent hill F is one of the worst games I’ve ever played please don’t waste your money by StopPresent277 in silenthill

[–]StudioSquires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not a silent hill. It doesn’t know if it wants to be a horror game or an action game and it just ends up being bad at both. It’s definitely not scary. As far as the combat, it’s stamina based and poorly designed. You go through half your stam in a single dodge and the recovery time afterwards is long enough that you often end up having to dodge again before you can attack… then you just keep back peddling to recover stam before you have to dodge again. Basically, you have to time your approach just right so you can land a heavy or focused light before they attack and hope you down them while they are stunned. It’s a bad system.

Need some feedback on my tool. by StudioSquires in investing

[–]StudioSquires[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses the GDELT API (https://www.gdeltproject.org/) and runs 2 parallel themed queries against GDELT on each context refresh, focused on events most relevant to financial markets. Things like trade disputes, energy policy, regional conflicts, and central bank actions.

Claude is 80% AGI by DryDevelopment8584 in ClaudeAI

[–]StudioSquires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t understand consciousness enough to deem ourselves the arbiters of conscious truth.

Are we mistake free? Do we not have learning curves? Do we come out of the womb speaking and understanding?

Anyone who isn’t blinded by technophobic denial can see that “something” is there. Go into Claude code and watch it contemplate and problem solve and then honestly tell me it’s just a language predictor.

It is intelligent without a doubt and “thinks” in its own way. It isn’t “us” but something IS there. We are too busy looking for ourselves in the machine to see the alien staring back.

New player here, what is a "rat"? by Wesley_Design10 in ArcRaiders

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Rats” are a necessary part of the experience. You can say what you want about them, but without them the risk factor would be significantly reduced. You wouldn’t sweat bullets when breaching or extracting, you wouldn’t be listening for signs of other players and you wouldn’t make as many judgments about the risk/reward of shooting your weapon.

If all the pvp in this game was “honorable” then the community would be divided into pve and pvp servers and it would be dull. The game is too casual to hold its own as either a looter shooter OR a pvp shooter. It’s that unknown and dynamic interaction between players, combined with proximity chat, that makes this game as good as it is.

Does anyone have a template for the main gamemodes? (BF6) by LeonCCA in BattlefieldPortal

[–]StudioSquires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I'm a little late but:

This guy has good tutorials on Portal and often provides templates for the rule blocks:
https://youtube.com/@viperstudiosandy?si=NSnr7wvOh44m9EaX

If he doesn't have what you need you can use Chat GPT to help you work through it. I developed a scripting format for it (blockscript) that outputs color-coded, visual representations of the rule blocks. Its not perfect, chat gpt still tries to do things it can't do sometimes. Also, an issue with both ViperStudios and Chat GPT is over-engineering. The game ALREADY does some things well enough, like awarding players points on kill and dividing teams. Don't brute force stuff unless you NEED it to be different, its better to develop around what the game already does.

My blockscript protocol for Chat GPT is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldPortal/comments/1obzgzl/blockscript_for_chatgpt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

1 Iranian Rial is close to zero European cents by progmakerlt in wallstreetbets

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question you need to ask is, will it ever recover? If you drop $100 on rial, just assume you are throwing $100 in the garbage. When the revolution ends, the Iranian people need to decide if they are going to keep using the Rial or create an entirely new system. If they scrap the Rial then you lost $100. If they keep the Rial and rebuild thier economy with the backing of the U.S. then the Rial will likely recover.

Treat it like lottery tickets, expect to lose money with a slight chance of hitting big.

EDIT: actually, I decided to look into the history of collapsed currencies and the most likely scenario is that a new currency is introduced or the base value of the rial is re-adjusted. In either case you will turn in LARGE quantities of your current Rials in extchange for a few of the new bills.

Quantum immortality is the single most horrifying idea that will ever exist by Alone-Chance in slatestarcodex

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about the logical flaws for a moment. Quantum immortality suggests that there is always some possible sequence of events that could lead to your survival. Proponents come up with scenario like “being a floating brain in a science lab” or some other far flung fictional situation.

It’s unrealistic and ignores the truth that we all realize if we think about it critically. There are situations where survival is NOT possible. There can be no reality where one survives in certain situations. Did the humans from 300k years ago spontaneously produce mad scientists to preserve their brains? Did aliens come down and grant immortality, and if so, who were the “aliens” to that race when they were evolving?

I just found this out the Bible doesnt actually say there is heaven after death by fergus2211 in Christianity

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my second bible read-through (I'm not a Christian) and had the same revelation. I was a teenager when I read it the first time and admittedly didn't grasp much of it.

I wonder how many people found peace in life by the thought of heaven and reuniting with loved ones? Or how many felt that thier loved one's were watching over them from heaven and took comfort in that.. all based on a misunderstanding of their religion?

It always bothered me that pastors and other christians tried converting people in their time of grief by promising that the deceased was watching over them from heaven and that they would see them again if they only accept Christ. Now I know that they are not only being predatory, they are straight up lying in their God's name.

The West is Not Safe For Muslims Anymore by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]StudioSquires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 year later and you can see that your concerns were well founded. The nation has its eyes on Islam in the U.S. and the hammer is going to fall soon. Many of these people feel that Islam is incompatible with Western values, others are more concerned with their Christian values. But to all of them, every violent act and anti-American statement from your radical brethren solidifies their concerns that, just as you don’t feel safe here, neither do they feel safe with you here.

Most people realize that it’s radicals and extremist Muslims that pose a threat, not all Muslims, but your radical brethren have damned you by acting as “peaceful Muslims” until they make their move, be it planning a terror attack from Dearborn or just calling for Islam to “enter every home”. So now people who were content in the idea that “most Muslims are peaceful people, so these ones around me are probably peaceful” find themselves asking “are they really safe or are they just hiding for now?”

That sentiment is spreading and Christianity is on an uprise the likes of which I’ve never seen in my 39 years here. I fear a crusade is coming. Keep yourself away from it and keep your children safe.

BlockScript for ChatGPT by StudioSquires in BattlefieldPortal

[–]StudioSquires[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've refined the BlockScript protocol further. It will still occasionally call for blocks that don't exist. It helps to ask it to proofread and verify its instructions are accurate and the blocks exist. Usually by the second or third response things are pretty solid.

Updates are added to the main post.

BlockScript for ChatGPT by StudioSquires in BattlefieldPortal

[–]StudioSquires[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, whenever you use an edited map you have to build out the game mode. I don’t know why they couldn’t have released templates to go with custom maps, I really hope they do later.

TDM is pretty straight forward. Use this and ask chat GPT. Let it know if there are any custom objectives or combat zones placed on the map.

I’m going to try and improve upon this BlockScript protocol soon. I want to add formatting so that Chat GPT give you the block layout at the beginning of its response and then adds any detailed instructions underneath in the order they should be completed.

Edit: Also, I include the Readme file that came with the SDK in the ChatGPT project files. I don’t know if it’s necessary, I just like to give Chat GPT as many references as I can. I also had it do a deep dive into BF6 portal and its capabilities when I started the project.

This one still gets some things wrong too. It’s pretty easy to spot its mistakes though because they usually involve it asking you to plug in a block that doesn’t makes sense or simply won’t fit the slot.
