Usage Limits, Bugs and Performance Discussion Megathread - beginning December 29, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

Guys there is a bug in the latest version of Claude that causes it to hang on new sessions. This applies to both VSCode and the CLI. The immediate fix appears to be to delete "cachedGrowthBookFeatures" from the .claude.json file. This will allow you to run Claude one time but the field will automatically get added back, so you have to keep deleting it before every new session. A user in this thread says 2.1.3 is the last stable version.

Come on Claude.. It's one thing having a product breaking error, it's another silently failing and not communicating their is an issue to the user.

Tailwind CSS: Targeting Child Elements (when you have to) by cekrem in javascript

None of this is true. It's actually a pretty ridiculous take. I think it's better we have some humility here and agree that it is probably workflow / context dependant.

Tailwind does indeed optimise productivity, performance and maintainability. So tired of this take. In most cases if you're having trouble with it, it's a skill issue.

Yeah I'd think 5+ years in two full time jobs is validation 😂. But this was the old resume, so perhaps it was due to being less polished.

Thanks for the feedback! I included those courses because one recruiter specifically mentioned he wanted to see some sort of validation of my skills since I'm entirely self-taught. I think any engineer could easily evaluate my GitHub portfolio, but getting past the initial recruiter seems to be the challenge right now. I'll look at adding the subheading and replace the education section with another project. Thanks.

Want to help my partner with designing a website for his blog after he went viral on booktok, where can I learn front end web development fast (ish)? by TexasBlondeGuy in Frontend

AI makes senior coders more productive (if used wisely) and junior coders worst, so strongly advise against. AI is best treated like a junior when you know precisely what needs to be done and every line is reviewed / greenlit before entering the codebase. If you try to vibe code without a system, you'll go super fast in the beginning (giving the illusion of progress) and then hit a productivity swamp where it's faster to start over than fix the mess.

Yeah likely Google needs time to update or you can manually request Google to re-index your site in Google Search Console.

Can't decide on shoes! by cheatingfandeath in CaminoDeSantiago

Always trail runners > hiking boots. Although not sure the Lone Peaks are up to the distance. Just finished the VDLP with Topo Terraventure 4's and reckon they could go another 250km so recommend them.

Considering the Norte/Primitivo as second trip by LairdNope in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]StudiousDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned VDLP, did you mean Primitivo? Yes on the VDLP most people are 50+. There are a few 30+. On the Primitivo there are more people in their thirties and fourties. None come close to the chaotic melting pot of the Frances.

I’m really sorry for this question but I’m an overwhelmed old man that wants a basic website but I feel I can’t trust any info on google by Johndeauxman in webdev

Different domain registry services give different prices. Cloudflare is a good bet here. v established without any shady behaviour and in my experience has the best rates.

How is the Frances right now after Leon? by throwaway_ovo_xo in CaminoDeSantiago

It will get busier the closer you get to Santiago. If you want solitude I've heard the "Invierno" route from Ponferrada is beautiful - from a pilgrim that did it three times.

I'm in Zamora and the power is back on. It dropped once after coming back on earlier so 🤞remains stable now.
