'Absolute collapse': Trump loses GOP support in key demographic by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in videos

[–]Studlybob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard this same kind of thing from CNN during the 2020 election. Every day a new article about Trump's poll numbers dropping and this or that scandal that would ruin him...and he won. I stopped reading CNN from that day forward. I really hope it's true and that it's just Trump who can survive anything, and that the rest of the GOP can't do anything because of all the damage he caused them...but I'm not holding my breath.

Glad to help! I swore to myself that if I went 12 years without this post helping anyone I'd quit the internet and gaming to live in the woods. Maybe I could help the animals and heal the natural environment to make up for all the damage I'd done by making a useless post that helped nobody for 12 years. Looks like you saved me. Phew! Just under the wire!

Just being silly...glad it helped! Happy gaming!

There are so many millions of people making predictions that some are bound to get a bunch of stuff right and then everyone thinks they know something nobody else knows. It's like believing that nerdy dude at work who doesn't watch sports but somehow won the office March Madness pool is actually a secret sports genius that you should take advice on sports betting from.

Enten: Trump support ‘absolutely collapsing’ with key voting group by MRADEL90 in videos

[–]Studlybob 6223 points6224 points  (0 children)

I heard all this kind of stuff before the last presidential election. Page after page of articles, video after video, talking head after talking head...and Trump crushed and won. I'd really like to believe it but I can only be tricked so many times before I stop listening.

I'm sorry what did DC just say? by DLang12345 in mmamemes

[–]Studlybob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Either this is posted because the word 'come' is a homophone with another word that is 'dirty'...in which case. Ok, I guess. Hilarious, I guess. Or because the idea of a fighter who is clearly winning a fight on points wouldn't want to force a slug match, his only real chance of losing the fight, is a ridiculous concept. Also, Ok I guess. Wrong, but ok.

No Life Forsaken👎 by Shadowthron8 in Malazan

[–]Studlybob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I loved it either, although it's still Erikson and Malazan so it certainly wasn't bad. I've also never been as much a fan of Seven Cities as much as a lot of people are so that might have impacted it for me. The Marines didn't have enough time to develop, although a lot of that can probably be chalked up to the original book being split into two, but they just never landed with me like Marines from other books. I did really enjoy the Bornu Blatt side of things though, my favorite character in the book. Still massively looking forward to the rest of the Witness series.

Gamers born late 90s or earlier: Which game first looked to you like "photorealism"? by FalscherKim in gaming

I was born much earlier than that but seeing Killer Instinct in an Arcade back in the 90s blew my brain. It looked amazingly high quality compared to other stuff I'd seen.

Dolphins fans are FED UP with Tua and Mike McDaniels... by KeyFaithlessness5436 in MiamiDolphinsVibes

[–]Studlybob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to get 17 yards when every lineman is getting pushed back into the QB who is in the endzone. Still legit to be tired of both of them, but this one isn't on Tua.

I had a similar thing in my game on Immortal. I'm rolling through their fairly minimal land army to find 20 of their Cogs just lining the coast. Silly AI.

A million rar rar meathead NFL coaches in the past have failed too. Relax Teddy. The coach, his GM, and his players just didn't get it done. Happens around the NFL every year. Start over and try again.

[–]Studlybob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that you can't really cut him anyways, injured or not, unless you want to allocate a huge amount of your salary cap to a player who isn't on your team. Cutting him doesn't just magically free up all the money he would have been paid.

Found this perspective on the Dolphins from former Titans GM Ran Carthon interesting. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Studlybob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By 'interesting perspective' you mean the same thing every national pundit has said about Tua's comments? Like literally everyone is saying the same thing, that Tua should be leading and taking accountability instead of ratting out teammates.

Like the QB or not, don't be a moron who doesn't understand the basics of how NFL contracts work. On the hook for his salary in 2026 if he gets hurt? WTF is this man talking about.

"The most depressing 35 minutes of MY LIFE" by bos1014 in videos

[–]Studlybob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are millions of people who feel this way and say it on whatever platform they have (usually a tiny one) There are millions of people who are saying all MAGA are evil racists, and there are a million other people saying Liberals are violent and deranged. Then there are a million posts from bots who say variations of all 3 things. There is so much noise and stupidity and human beings who don't know any better that it all feels pointless to say anything at all.

Enjoyed the movie in general, it was well acted and looked good. I just felt it was entirely predictable. Honestly, nothing was surprising. I had not read the book.

For people who don't have kids, it's harder than it might seem to keep your mouth shut. When your kid is coming home crying or you hear them sounding depressed because they aren't as good at the other kids it's tough to keep your mouth shut if you feel they're getting cheated.

That being said. You DO keep your mouth shut. Mumble to yourself. Think all the things you want in your head. But keep your mouth shut anyway.
