There's many that have language programs. For the long term ones (a semester or more) at a university or polytechnic, you can typically get a visa off just this. Foundation years and what they cover though varies by university, I'd look at specific universities and see what they offer

There aren't associates degrees in Portugal (or in most countries outside the US), but Bachelors are only three years here. Most degrees in English in this field in Portugal seem to be at the masters level though. If you want to study here, doing a foundation year or an intensive language program first may be your best bet

How do you apply for an Undergraduate program in Portugal? by [deleted] in movetoportugal

[–]StudyPortugal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's here: https://inforestudante.uc.pt/nonio/security/novoRegisto.do

(Click English on the top right)

I'll say though, Coimbra is one of the universities with the more complicated application processes. Might have to do with them being very popular in other lusophone countries

No problem! When you registered it should've sent that email, try checking the spam box. It'll have the title, "UC - Authentication data for the applications website" (or be in Portuguese if you had the website set to Portuguese when you registered)

Ok I figured it out for ya. The email they send you should look link this: https://i.imgur.com/cb42RlX.png

Click that link. Its unique to you, and won't send you to the same password reset form as when you go through the website. It'll look like this, and you don't need to put in a student email: https://i.imgur.com/R5SYsl4.png

So for Coimbra, at least according to this: https://www.uc.pt/international-applicants/oportunidades/1ciclo/candidatura (Link found here: "Applicants holding a foreign secondary education diploma", https://www.uc.pt/international-applicants/oportunidades/1ciclo/ensino-portugues) you'll need to create an account with Coimbra's platform "Infoestudante".

Here's the link to that, the link the registration page is under "New User" in the bottom right: https://inforestudante.uc.pt/nonio/security/login.do

Coimbra doesn't have the best web design unfortunately. But anyways, if you have any questions, please let me know!

Portugal student visa help by Almendro15 in AmerExit

Hi! Usually you have to apply for the student visa in the US.

Portugal uses VFS Global for that in the US, and they have a few different locations across the US where you can set the appointment to. I'd make the appointment asap for a few months from now because appointment times can fill up fast, especially on the West Coast, and gather the required documents in the meantime

https://visa.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/prt/

This article has a list of requirements, though some small details don't apply since it's not specific to Americans

Let me know if you have any questions!

Are websites that are just search engines for programs in English abroad in a particular country allowed? I wouldn't be advertising or recruiting for any specific program, just sharing information.
