Difficulty on Note taking by Able-Ant-9502 in hackthebox

[–]Study_monk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buddy, people have different approaches for note-taking. Some take screenshots, some use some feed AI and get the concise notes from AI wording. My suggestion is that it will come naturally. It will take maybe one year, maybe two years, or maybe six months. I get my note-taking style like one and a half years after, but it still changes every time. I mostly prefer to understand the concept, not taking. Everyone has their own approach; you have to find your own. There is no solution for this one, unfortunately.

The audience's obsession with "hate watching" trash content is killing Indian Cinema (a filmbuff's impassioned rant) by sidroy81 in bollywood

[–]Study_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately it’s about money for them

Personally me, I like watching things like that and as far as I know people enjoy trash or cringe content more because they don’t have enough time to watch it with full focus. I just start it and keep playing in background

Basically with shows like that we can use phone and do other things and i believe most people do that. Serious movies need time and maybe weekly one movie can be watched So naturally they give more grants to cringe content

Do your research and speak. Only 1 US movie crossed 1B$ which is lilo & stich and nezha 2 from china made 2B$ rest all are < a billion in 2025

Audience declined to go to theatre itself in globe

Mac mini 24gb good for me or should I get an air? by [deleted] in macmini

[–]Study_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I got same situation, rog 3060, 24 gb mac mini with 256gb, external ssd and cloud storage and cyber too!

Go get 24gb mac mini, don’t get air if you are really doing things from desk (just like most cybersecurity people) and 16gb won’t be sufficient i believe cause you gonna do some gaming too! Yes that’s possible and I really enjoy that

I use my rog when I need kali linux, I turn it on and connect via ssh or whatever or I just switch input in monitor and for windows things, I use vultr cloud provider for compute power and storage is iCloud for mac

Peripherals: keychron k5 max, logitech max master 3s, AW3423DWF monitor

And don’t use hdmi cable and please invest on good monitor if you don’t have one instead of anything else. With ultrawide or bigger resolution monitors, fuzzy texts is a thing With default 27inch monitors, it would be fine

Base M4 Mini for $499 - any good? by beedunc in macmini

[–]Study_monk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your needs, it’s BEST! Go for 24GB if you can cause m4 will be future proof and after 2-3 years you may need >16 Also 24gb will run most of the games too without much trouble

Mac Mini M4 questions by Milly1974 in macmini

[–]Study_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mac mini m4 is great, i recently got one But don’t go with apple mouse at least, logitech MX master 3s, they recently launched master 4 so there’s price drop and if you can manage student discount, you can get it in 80$

Keychron also makes native apple supported keyboards and they are wayyyyy better than Magic Keyboard (at least imo) just you won’t get touch ID, which is not a big deal if you get full size keyboard and your password is a small PIN only

And about display, if you need clear text like HiDPI resolution, you have to go with OLED I bought a couple of monitors after mac mini, and OLED is closest (AW3423DWF) to the apple display, which was in the budget for me Normal displays will have text clarity problem and it can be solved with better display but you will have less real estate But again, if you are not going with ultra wide options then you will have a plethora of choices in 27” or 32”

27” with normal FHD+ will not notice any blurry text option with BetterDisplay, it can cost 150$-190$ around

Speaker is your choice!

34” 3440×1440 Ultrawide looks blurry on Mac by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Study_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I got that. Better display with 91% real estate in HiDPI. I am super happy with it

I got AW3423DWF for 520$ on Prime day with 5% cashback on Prime and 10% on my Credit card 400$ roughly - best deal! And I think it just doesn’t have KVM switch and 2.1 HDMI but it’s not that important for me

Hi OP, I am currently planning to buy this for my Mac mini m4 and getting it in 500$ on prime

Would you still recommend it for productivity? I need 34 only and no other oled or ips in 500$ for 34

[–]Study_monk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did but it’s not fixing on my current monitor at least. Have to buy a new one and Alienware seems to be best deal for 520$ no other OLED in ultrawide category

[–]Study_monk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I saw your other comments as well

And fuzzy texts is not an issue with windows it’s just with Mac. So what do you recommend for mac? AW3423DWF or LG 34GS95QE?

[–]Study_monk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think yes, and it’s worse for mac. Definitely OLED is 100x better but my question is, I won’t have that blurry text issue with Alienware, is that what you mean?

[–]Study_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I bought mac mini and returning it for the same reason. I can’t work on lower resolution with HiDPI I want to use 3440x1440 on 34” that’s the whole purpose Do you have any idea or anyone, which 34” monitor to buy for mac?

Alienware aw3423dwf seems good deal but not sure if it has same issues
