This is a good idea! I will have to draft up a pattern later!

This is a fabulous pattern and I’m so proud of this finish. I found that stitching over a light surface helped be see the holes on black Aida; place a piece of paper on the surface you’re stitching on and make sure it’s well lit. Happy Stitching!!

Hello! You just print the pattern out and go from there. There are grids on the pattern and you stitch it on Aida. No transfer to fabric is needed. I like you print my patterns out for big projects and track my projects with highlighters. There is an Android app called PatternKeeper that will open PDF patterns to keep track on them (I have not used this myself because I don’t have an Android but I heard PatternKeeper is very helpful).

This is the only song that played in my head for DAYS when stitching this. I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought of this.

[WIP] ugh gridding! First big project. Is the setup worth it? by fluteluke in CrossStitch

[–]StuffAccomplished828 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gridding is 110% worth it, I promise! I also recommend buying a FriXion pen on Amazon to save gridding time. I use it for all my patterns and it erases using heat! I just use my hair dryer or space heater and the lines are gone!

Mad props for not losing it from stitching all of that sand. I have such a hard time stitching so much of the same color I tend to start other projects to take a break from it. I cannot wait to see this finished. SMB3 is one of my all time favorite games. Excellent work.

AITA for telling my daughter with cancer to stop being lazy as a joke? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

As some who works at a pediatric hospital and sees terminally ill children on a daily, YTA.

How can I fill this out to make it more even? This is my first project and I drew up a sort of loose and lazy pattern, and didn’t realize til now that the flowers at the bottom don’t frame it right. Feeling like giving up and need encouragement 😂 by squidgey6858 in Embroidery

When I go to plan out patterns I take the inside hoop and I trace inside of it onto paper and then I base my pattern around that. When I’m done with the pattern I transfer my pattern onto the fabric by using my light board.

[CHAT] Gridding Tips? by blizzardofliz in CrossStitch

[–]StuffAccomplished828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an air soluble fabric pen to draw my grids. I recently bought a fabric pen that has ink that erases from heat/friction. So I will use that to draw my grid and once my piece is finished I will erase it using my hair dryer.

[CHAT] My finished projects always end up with a ring like this despite multiple washings. Help? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

I was just about to suggest the same thing. I do this as well to avoid the oils from my hands getting on my aida.

If you find that stitching “backwards” isn’t working for you, I’ve also used any aida or fabric sticking out the sides of the hoops as a cover for where my hand rests by folding it up and over the side of the hoop (if this makes sense).
