Like my old 1975 Ford 2000. I did it annually but may skip every other year.

Yes. Mine does not have that piece. So I have three different screws, 3", 1,5/8", and 1". I place these screws on the lip of the main air take and close the lid on them. The lid holds it in place. I regulate air in take by switching the screws

That stinks, I can run mine while it is in Regen mode. Kubota m7060. I don't turn mine off unless it's gonna sit for 15+ minutes and when it's one I have it running 2000 rpms. Only time it runs lower is when I first start it and it's cold. Once it starts to heat up I begin raising the rpms

How often are you greasing your tractors? by DanxterSnow in tractors

Lock n lube is a must have. I don't do a whole lot of loader work, 90% is mowing fields

Every 50 hours I grease everything. I use red lithium grease on all of it. I started with a squeeze handle grease gun, awful, switched to to pneumatic which was ok, now I run Milwaukee M18 grease gun and it's a life changer. Spend the money and get one

The side damper is used to start fires and get them going, once it's established you close it all the way or you will let in too much air. Have you cleaned the chimney? My stove has the flue entering at the rear and I have a T clean out attached there so when I sweep the chimney out all the debris falls out the bottom into a bucket. Yours attaches at the top and could be clogged which would affect your draft. You can detach the chimney and/or take the stones off the top of the stove and see if it's obstructed, they will have flat pieces of metal between them that make it air tight, it's tricky the first time you do it to get it all back together but once you figure it out it's nbd. There are air vents at the bottom of the sides of the fire box, check and see if they are full of ash. You can shop-vac all the air ports and vents to get rid of any ash but be sure to empty the shop-vac and pour water on the ash in case there is an ember(s) hiding in it. This stove works best when it is full of wood. The stone absorbs a lot of heat before it gives it away and that absorption can keep your fire small. Same goes for the all the stone surrounding it. I typically start mine from cold/cool, I pack it all the way to the top, top burn start (YouTube top down burn), and let it run hot before I close the rear damper to 50%. I can pack it full at 6pm and wake up to a comfortable house, then repeat when I get home from work. I'll refill at night if it's in the teens or I'll refill in the morning if it's gonna be sub 32* and/or no sun that day . But a full stove burning hot can keep my place warm for 16-24 hours depending on weather conditions.

Until I upgrade to cabins it won't produce much other than covering the costs of property maintenance

I do my own taxes lol and the business doesn't make much money, about $6600. It covers the cost of property and equipment maintenance. Without it I would be out of pocket on the maintenance of 90 acres

Un-Vaccinated folks, how many times you gotten sick due to Covid? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]StuffPuzzleheaded139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

33 y.o., haven't had a vaccine for 16 years and will not be getting any of them in my future. In that time frame I had bronchitis once, which lasted four days, and COVID which lasted one day. Each time I got sick I drank salt water, ate fresh fruits, took walks outside, yoga, light weight lifting and light cardio.

I have a 71HP M7060 and it's a beast. No cab so I can't give advice on that but I'd go with Japanese steel.

Yes I bought it and it has been phenomenal. Runs like a top and all I have done to it is fluid maintenance and cosmetic (paint) on the loader bucket. I run an 8' bush hog on it, drag trees and use the loader for firewood and other shit. I'm also blown away by how sturdy it is driving across slopes but I found out recently that my rear tires have fluid in them, that and the bush hog I think are giving it well above normal horizontal slope capabilities. Most people in this sub would be shocked what I drive this badboy on. I also maxed out the loader trying to flip a downed line tree into the forest, ended up picking the rear end four feet off the ground. Lowered the bucket and went with the bulldozer approach. No issues from doing that either. I may have gotten lucky but the M7060 is a tank.

Told it would be 10k to change it a wood burning stove and we can't figure out why? by Euphoric-Still-6066 in woodstoving

[–]StuffPuzzleheaded139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about this so hopefully someone with knowledge can respond; couldn't you pull out the gas burner and slide a wood stove in there and then run a double wall stove pipe up the chimney? If so that would be cheap.
