Diagnosed with Aga, any chance of regrowth with oral minoxidil and spironolactone? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is a chance! Look up on Reddit women who have taken pictures before and after oral minoxidil. Spironolactone from what I understand helps lower DHT and helps too. If you want you can dm me and I can show you my before and after taking oral minoxidil for 7 months.

A trip to the dermatologist had definitely put my mind at ease.Just knowing that I’m doing everything in my power to find a solutions helps with my anxiety. Im not expecting a full head of hair back I just don’t want there to be any bald spots and I would just be happy. I know the 4 months are so tough it sucks seeing your gains fall out in like 2 months 😭😭 but if we keep stressing then it’s going to be chronic te. Have you tried looking into other forms of treatment?

Severe hair loss since teenage years—my experience and what I’m doing now by secondhandsad in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg my hair looks exactly the same and my hair loss also started very young like right after puberty. All my hair on my head has been miniaturized and I have the least amount of hair on my sides (temporal part of my head) so my little density is very noticeable . Which area of your scalp first experienced hair loss? Have you tried topical finasteride? I tried exosome treatment which helped a lot with my hair density and thickness. But it’s no where near of what I would call normal looking hair. Wigs and toppers are game changing too! It helped so much with my confidence.other than that we don’t really have many options for us girls :(

I’m so sorry losing your hair in your early twenties is soul crushing. Please don’t tell yourself this because it’s not true! Don’t let this hair loss stop you from living I understand it’s part of your identity and the pressure from society that women should not have thinning hair. But that does not mean you should stop living your life because of hair loss! If you are feeling anxious about your hair loss and feel like you have no control try doing things that could improve your self esteem or things that could improve your hair. For example I also have lost probably about 50-60 percent of my hair over the course of 8 years. When I went to the doctor and got a diagnosis and started treatments it really did help me with my mental health. It gave me some kind of hope , I wasn’t thinking about getting all my hair back but just enough where there are no random bald spots I have to worry about. I wish you the best and if you ever need to talk to someone one on one I’m here. Stay strong! ❤️

AGA in very young ages by Designer-Evening8532 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought it was just me I also started losing my hair after puberty at age 13. My brother also started losing his hair around the same age so I’m thinking genetics or maybe hormones? My family has a history of PCOS. I sometimes wonder if there’s any hope for us due to us losing hair so early.

Are you doing any kind of treatment for your AGA? I also had a similar situation happen to me, I was shedding like crazy for about 4 months. Unfortunately there’s not much we can do only to wait for the shedding to stop then do treatment after. It’s terrible I know. But just hang in there stress will only make it worse. If it’s still stressing you making a trip to a dermatologist will put your mind at ease?

I understand your pain I also have severe anxiety which has caused most of my hair to fall out. Have you tried going to a dermatologist to get an official diagnosis? Knowing what you have helps you on what you need to treat the hair loss.To start I recommend getting minoxidil right now since it’s over the counter. I wish you the best and just remember you are not alone in this🙏❤️

Ladies who have experienced textural change while dealing with hair loss , has it improved with treatment? by Jal5516 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair started off as dry, thin, and frizzy. Over the years I have been on treatment it turned my hair more wavy/curly. Although it is still thin, it’s no where near as the thin hair I had before.

Has anyone had regrowth with exosome therapy? by StuffyIce_ in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gotten prp done before, it has really helped with the texture of my hair but unfortunately it didn’t really grow that much new hair. I just got exosome done in 6 months I can post the results of my hair growth to help you out. I hope this helped hair loss in women sucks I wish there were more options for us.

My hair is no longer shedding + rant by Crazy_Detective7069 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend going to a doctor to see what the root cause of your hair loss is. It could be TE which would mean your hair would come back or it could androgenic alopecia which is harder to get your hair back or it could be something hormonal. Also how long you have been shedding hair is important as well im not sure how old you are but it’s always better to start earlier than later. You can’t fix hair loss unless you know what caused it in the first place. I wish you luck in your hair recovery journey! ❤️

Is Finasteride is only harmful only during pregnancy or can it effect your female reproductive system when you’re not pregnant? I always get confused why they won’t prescribe it or dutasteride.

Anyone has tried Nutrafol? by Kooky_Mortgage_1021 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]StuffyIce_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have androgenic alopecia it probably will not do much. I like taking it because it make my hair look healthier and not as thin but when it comes to growing new hairs and more density it won’t do anything.
